Reward offered in bus vandalism


The Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted School District is offering a reward for the arrest of the person/s responsible for the theft and damage to HLWW buses last Monday night.

Five buses were entered and two of them were damaged, according to the Howard Lake Police Department.

Ignition wires were pulled from the dash in two of the vehicles in a apparent attempt to hot-wire them.

Two other buses had windshields broken, the glass to the video cameras also had lenses smashed.

Flashlights, safety triangles, and two-way radios were also stolen.

The incident is under investigation.
