Highways 12, 25 detours change

To reduce inconvenience to the traveling public, Highway 25 between Buffalo and Highway 12 east of Montrose in Wright County will not be detoured at this time, reports the Minnesota Department of Transportation (Mn/DOT).

In an earlier announcement, Highway 25 and Highway 12 between the east junction of Highway 25 east of Montrose to the east city limits of Montrose, was to be detoured beginning April 27.

Although this two-mile segment of Highway 12 began construction April 27, Mn/DOT and the contractor has determined to do the work" under traffic" for as long as possible. No thru-traffic will be allowed to travel east on Highway 12 from the east junction of Highway 25, however.

Construction on a new railroad bridge just east of Montrose is underway, while work on the rest of the highway in this section will start sometime in May.
