First acts signed for Winstock 2001

Several acts have already been booked to perform at Winstock
2001, which is set for Friday, Saturday, June 8 and 9.

Aaron Tippin, Chely Wright, Terri Clark, Eric Heatherly,
and the Oak Ridge Boys will be heading to Winsted early next June.

Heatherly is a relative newcomer to the country music industry.
He became nationally known with his remake of The Statler Brothers tune,
“Flowers On The Wall.” His newest release, “Swimming In Champagne”
has also done well on the charts.

A face that graced the Winstock stage two years ago, Chely
Wright, is returning for an encore performance.

Wright, who has had hit songs like “Single White Female,”
and “Shut Up And Drive,” brings back to Winsted a charming stage
presence and a performance not to be missed.

Tippin is currently holding the number one spot on the
Billboard Country Music Charts with his newest smash hit, “Kiss This.”
His latest album, “People Like Us” is at number 10 on the charts
as well.

Tippin is known for being an exceptionally energetic stage
performer who doesn’t mind getting a little rowdy at his shows.

Canadian-born Terri Clark is climbing the charts with her
latest release, a song titled “A Little Gasoline.” This is off
her most recent album, “Fearless.”

Some of Clark’s hits include “Better Things To Do,”
“Emotional Girl,” “Poor, Poor Pitiful Me,” and “When
Boy Meets Girl.”

There isn’t a fan in country music who doesn’t know The
Oak Ridge Boys. With a career spanning four decades, The Oaks have won almost
every major award in the business.

They released a gospel CD in 1997 titled “Revival.”
Look for the Oaks to perform many of their hit songs at Winstock including
“Elvira,” “Fancy Free,” and “Y’all Come Back Saloon.”
