Kvinna Insurance opens in HL

Serving people on a more personal level is what drove Howard Lake resident Jayna Landberg to start her own insurance business.

The Howard Lake-based Kvinna Insurance Services opened for business in mid-November.

After operating out of her home since early October, Landberg rented the back half of the old medical clinic building on Highway 12.

Kvinna Insurance offers individual and group health benefits.

“I represent all of the health carriers in the state,” Landberg said.

She helps people decide what the best plan for themselves or their employees would be.

“I also specialize in claims management,” Landberg said. “When people are having troubles with a provider or insurance carrier, I coordinate the claims and figure out why it isn’t being paid.”

Landberg gives clients a free analysis so they can find what plan would best suits their needs. She feels that forming relationships with clients is important, as well as maintaining good communication.

“I like to be that one person you call when you want to know what’s going on,” she said.

With 15 years experience working in the corporate realm, Landberg gained valuable training and know-how within the health insurance field. She became disillusioned, however, with the lack of personal attention given to clients, where “the individual person doesn’t matter.”

Her desire was to serve people on a more personal level, “so people understand I’m here to help them,” she said.

Landberg moved to Howard Lake from Delano about a year ago.

She has one employee, daughter Jessica Landberg, who works as an account executive.

The office is open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
