Township filing period starts Jan. 3



WRIGHT COUNTY, MN – Local township residents interested in filing for an open position will soon have their opportunity.

Positions will be offered in the spring township elections.

The filing period starts Tuesday, Jan. 3 and ends Tuesday, Jan. 17 at 5 p.m.

There is a filing fee of $2.

Generally, one supervisor and the clerk positions are up, which feature three-year and two-year terms, respectively.

A few local exceptions are Hollywood, Camden, Bergen, and Winsted townships, which conducted their elections in the fall.

Victor Township
David Hoover’s term as supervisor for Victor Township is up, as well as Sharon Glessing’s position as clerk.

Residents of Victor Township are eligible for these positions, and may call Glessing at (320) 543-3702 for more information or to file.

Middleville Township
In Middleville, John Walter’s term as supervisor is up, as well as Joey Berg’s term as clerk.

Those interested in filing should either call the township hall at (320) 543-3807, or call Berg at (612) 247-4348.

Woodland Township
Woodland Township features two open seats. Supervisor Jim Trombley’s position is up, as well as Clerk Gloria Janikula’s position.

Marysville Township has one seat open, for the supervisor position currently served by Augie Riebel.
