WINSTED, MN Monarch Healthcare Management acquired the former Benedictine Living Community facilities, St. Mary’s Care Center and The Garden House, April 1. The two facilities have been renamed The Gardens at Winsted.
The addition of this community will increase Monarch’s current portfolio to a total of 14 assisted living and 33 skilled-nursing facilities throughout Minnesota and Wisconsin.
Marc Halpert, COO at Monarch Healthcare Management explained, “Monarch has been working on purchasing this campus for over two years. We never gave up, and continued to work with the ownership to get this deal done.
“When we heard about the opportunity to grow in Winsted, it was exciting, and continues to be. Over the past two years, we have continued our plan to grow into Western Minnesota, and this adds to our plan.”
Monarch Healthcare Management executives and corporate support staff have been actively onsite at The Gardens at Winsted prior to April 1, meeting with residents, family members, and current staff. They have been working to make this change as seamless as possible for those currently living or working in the facilities, and will provide ongoing support to the current staff to continue the care they have been providing residents.
The Gardens at Winsted welcomed new administrator, Morgan Sandmeyer, who has been onsite and working with the team to ensure a smooth transition.
Sandmeyer has been with Monarch at River Valley Health and Rehabilitation Center, has many years of experience in the healthcare field, and is looking forward to the opportunity to work in Winsted and the surrounding communities.
