PRAIRIE DAYS
Lester Prairie offers splendid fun in the heart of the prairie

There will be something for everyone during Prairie Days.

Lester Prairie will celebrate its annual community festival Friday and Saturday the second weekend in June.

Concert in the Arts Center

Friday’s events include a kiddie parade, softball, K&K Fun Times, and a carnival. For information about the softball tournament, contact Steve Dietel (320) 395-9877.

Live music will be from 8 p.m. to midnight.

Food and beer will be available starting at 4 p.m.

Saturday events will include:

• volleyball – 9 a.m. contact Krystal (320) 395-4200, or Rick (320) 272-4204.

• demo derby 9 a.m. contact Bob (320) 864-6268, or Rich (320) 327-2637.

• Little League tournament – 9 a.m.

• Polish horseshoe tournament, 9 a.m. sign up, 10 a.m. start.

• walk/run 9 a.m.

• K&K Fun Times – all day.

• Carnival sponsored by the Lester Prairie Business Association.

• parade 6:30 a.m. – contact Jerry Christensen (320) 395-4284. Lester Prairie Ambassador Program 30 minutes after the parade.

To round out the day, there will be a fireworks display at dusk, and live music from 8 p.m. to midnight.

On Sunday morning, there will be church services from 9-10 a.m. and a community education breakfast from 9 a.m. to noon.
