|SCHOOL BOARD WORK SESSION MEETING
Monday, October 25, 2010
HLWW Board Room
The October 25, 2010 Regular School Board meeting of the Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted ISD #2687 was called to order at 6:02 p.m. by Chairman Schaible. After the pledge of allegiance, roll was taken with the following members present: Schaible, Doering, Wiech, Heuer, Weber, Weibel, and Tintes. Also present was Superintendent Brad Sellner, SMS Financial Consultant, Todd Netzke, and Board Secretary Marilyn Greeley.
(Item IV) Heuer motioned to approve the agenda; Tintes seconded; passed unanimously.
(Item V) There were no questions or comments from visitors.
(Item VI, Subd. A) Wiech motioned to approve the bus driver contract; Tintes seconded; passed unanimously.
(Item VI, Subd. B) Heuer reviewed the change to the custodial salary schedule, and the contract is still within the agreed upon range.
Weber motioned to approve the custodial contract; Wiech seconded; passed unanimously.
(Item VI, Subd. C) Heuer commented this is not the district office staff, but other secretaries within the district. Wiech motioned to approve the secretary’s contract; Weibel seconded; passed unanimously.
(Item VI, Subd. D) Weber motion to approve the hiring of a .6FTE EBD teacher; Wiech seconded; passed unanimously
Superintendent Sellner gave a brief report.
(Item VII) Next Meeting Dates:
• Regular Board Meeting Monday November 8, 2010 6 p.m. Board Room
• Work Session Meeting Monday November 22, 2010 6 p.m. Board Room; will be needed to approve the 2009-2010 audit.

• Employment Recommendation
• Canvass Fall School Board Election Results
• Approve Seniority List
Doering motioned to close the meeting at 6:30 p.m. to discuss negotiations strategies; Weibel seconded; passed unanimously.
The board discussed negotiations strategies.
Heuer motioned to close the closed meeting at 7:28 p.m.; Weber seconded; passed unanimously.
Doering motioned to adjourn at 7:33 p.m.; Weibel seconded; passed unanimously.
