BOARD OF EDUCATION WORK SESSION MEETINGMonday, July 27, 2020HLWW HS Media Center
The July 27, 2020 Regular School Board meeting of the Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted ISD #2687 was called to order at 6:02 pm. by Chairperson Heuer. After the pledge of allegiance, roll was taken with the following members present: Heuer, Koch, Bravinder, Peterson, Scheuch, and Diers. Also present were Superintendent Brad Sellner, Principals Jason Mix, Jim Schimelpfenig, and Jennifer Olson, and Board Secretary Marilyn Greeley.
(Item IV) Scheuch recommended approval of the agenda; Koch seconded; passed unanimously.
(Item V, Subd. A) Scheuch recommended approval of Hailey Nelson as a Speech Language Pathologist; Diers seconded; passed unanimously.
(Item V, Subd. B) Diers recommended to approve the Paraprofessional Contract for 2020-2022; Scheuch seconded; Bravinder abstained; passed by majority.
(Item V, Subd. C) Diers recommended to approve the Community Education contracts for Community Ed Secretary, Preschool teachers, ECFE Coordinator and SAC Supervisors all for 2020-2022; Scheuch seconded; passed unanimously.
(Item V, Subd. D) Koch recommended to approve the cooks, cashier and food service workers contracts all for 2020-2022; Scheuch seconded; passed unanimously.
(Item V, Subd. E) Diers recommended to approve the Secretary Contract for 2020-2022; Scheuch seconded; passed unanimously.
Scheuch motioned to add Bravinder to the Levy Committee; Diers seconded; passed unanimously.
(Item V, Subd. I) Koch motioned to have a committee conduct interviews with the candidates and bring forward more than one candidate to the August work session; Bravinder seconded; passed unanimously.
Koch motioned to appoint Peterson, Diers and Scheuch as the interview committee for the school board vacancy; Bravinder seconded; passed unanimously.
