The board met with administrators and discussed the three top priority issues identified by the board and administration to include:
1. Enrollment The school needs to increase enrollment to provide the programs students and parents desire.
2. Facilities The school facilities are aging and need repair. Adequate space is also a concern.
3. Technology improvements are needed in student knowledge and use of technology, teacher knowledge and ability to incorporate technology in their instruction, and keeping current hardware and software.
The board agreed to have “meet and confers” with teaching and non-teaching staff to discuss the goals established, test scores, curriculum mapping and the staff survey. No action was taken during this retreat.
The meeting adjourned at 9:20 p.m.
