Lester Prairie School Board Minutes





Tuesday, April 4, 2006

A special meeting of the Board of Education of District #424, Lester Prairie, McLeod County, Minnesota was held on Tuesday, April 4, 2006, in the school media center.

The meeting was called to order by Chairman Fred Blaser.

Roll call was taken with Board members present including: Fred Blaser, Chester Hoernemann, Melissa Williams, Bob Carlson, Jeff Hecksel and Jim Jorgenson.

The administration present included Joe Miller, Pam Lukens, and Ron Erpenbach.

Visitors included Kim DeBruychere and Linda Scherer.

Hoernemann led the Pledge of Allegiance.

A motion was made by Carlson and second by Hoernemann to approve the agenda for this meeting as presented.

In new business Miller gave information on preliminary budget adjustments for 2006-2007, estimated changes on taxes for home owners and referendum revenue per pupil comparison. These are on file at the district office.

A motion was made by Carlson to accept the preliminary budget adjustments for 2006-2007. This was second by Hoernemann and passed with a 6- 0 vote.

A motion was made by Hoernemann to cut the elementary teacher, Kelly Kramer; and to cut the Computer Application Instructor, Kim DeBruychere. Williams made a second and it was passed with a unanimous roll call vote. Blaser-yes, Carlson-yes, Hecksel-yes, Hoernemann-yes, Jorgenson-yes, Williams-yes.

Blaser adjourned the meeting at 6:45pm
