REGULAR MEETING of the SCHOOL BOARD of EDUCATION
Lester Prairie Public Schools
Monday, July 17th, 2017 5:45 p.m.

Roll call was taken and the following board members were present: Mary Otto, Steve Ziermann and Corbey Hentges, Mark Sebora, Rebecca Heimerl, and Meganne Stifter-Knoll. Administration present: Nathaniel Boyer and Jeremy Schmidt. Other Guests: Ivan Raconteur for Herald Journal.
Pledge of Allegiance was led by Steve Ziermann.
Motion by Otto seconded by Stifter-Knoll to approve the Consent Agenda as modified & to approve the minutes of the Regular and Special Board meetings of 06/19/17, and the approval to pay bills in the amount of $196,818.94 . Vote: 6 for, 0 against
Recognition of Communications since Last Meeting:
A. Communication – Report -
1. Prairie Days – cups were handed out during parade $500 donated by Foundation put towards the cost

Administrative Reports
Mr. Boyer K-12 Report: - highlights
• Mr. Schmidt, Mr. Walstrom, and Mr. Boyer participated in LP parade and handed out Bulldog cups and brochures.
• Summer School is in session until August 3rd for grades K-8
• ESL position has been posted
Mr. Schmidt Superintendent Report: - highlights
• Registered for the MDE – Conference August 9th and 10th at the Marriot Mpls.

• District student count as of 05/10/17 for K-12 is 438.

• Discussion took place regarding field condition after LP football scrimmage last fall. Vote: 6 for, 0 against
