Public Notice
City of Cokato, in conjunction with Minnesota Homeland Security and Emergency Management (HSEM) and Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has applied for a Hazard Mitigation Grant Program Project for the replacement of the West Sanitary Lift Station. This project will involve the replacement and relocation of the existing lift station located along TH 12 at the west edge of the City. The project will also include the repair/sealing of upstream manholes to solve inflow and infiltration (1/1) issues.
Under the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), EO 11988 and EO 11990, public notice is required of any federal actions (that affect floodplains or wetlands. All necessary permits will be obtained prior to construction and completion of the project.
The objectives of the Hazard Mitigation Grant Program are to prevent future losses of lives and property, to implement state or local Hazard Mitigation plans, to enable mitigation measures to be implemented during immediate recovery from disaster, and to provide funding for identified and approved hazard mitigation projects.

Notice of Public HearingSite Plan/Special Use Permit for Faribault Foods R & D Expansion
Notice is hereby given the Cokato Planning & Zoning Commission, Wright County, Minnesota will hold a public hearing at 6 p.m., Tuesday, September 7th, 2010. The commission will consider an application from Faribault Foods for a Site Plan/Special Use for construction of a 2800 sq. ft. R & D expansion at 15403 US Hwy. 12 in an Industrial District.

Notice is hereby given that the City Council of the City of Cokato, Wright County, Minnesota requests sealed bids for the purchase of:
One (1) New Custom Pumper Truck
Specifications and proposal forms may be obtained from the City of Cokato, PO Box 1030, 255 Broadway Ave. South, Cokato, MN 55321. Sealed bids will be accepted until 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, September 29th, 2010 at the City Hall where they will be publicly opened. Each bid must be on the proposal form furnished by the City. Bids will be considered and other action taken as necessary at the City Council meeting on Tuesday, October 12th, 2010 at 7 p.m. at the City Hall.
The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive any irregularities in the bid and further reserves the right to award the bid in the best interest of the City, Fire Commission and Fire Department.
