The regular meeting of the Board of Education of Independent School District 879, Delano, Minnesota, was held on Monday, November 28, 2011, at the Delano City Hall. The meeting was called to order by the chair at 7:00 PM with the following members in attendance: Johnson, Milano, Baker, Frake, Seguin, Durick and Brasket. Absent: None

CONSENT AGENDA (approved unanimously)
Board approved the regular meeting minutes of 10-24-11, the special meeting minutes of 11-17-11 and 11-21-11, the current budget status with year to date adjustments, investment transactions, wire transfers, Minnesota Liquid Assets fund, cash report, revenue and expense fund totals, expense reports and disbursements; and donations.PERSONNEL (approved unanimously)
Board approved resignations of TKC Paraprofessional, three Softball Coaches; hiring a DES Paraprofessional, reinstating a DES Paraprofessional, DMS long-term substitute, TKC Coordinator, TKC Paraprofessional, two WSI Aides, five Softball Coaches, four Girls’ Basketball Coaches; Contract/Assignment Changes/Approvals additional days for Title I teacher; Leaves of Absence for DES Grade 1 Teacher, DHS Mathematics Teacher, DSH SWAS/CCP Teacher.
Barb Janus of Delano commented on non-passage of the levy referendum and teacher negotiations.
Board heard the following administrative reports: Supt. Sweet reported on water main break, power outage and website was hacked today; legislative meeting being held tomorrow at Discovery Elementary in Buffalo at 7 p.m. MS Prin R Klinkner was absent. HS Prin M Schoen reported on Project Lead the Way program; ES Prin D Schuler reported Targeted Services Adventure Club and Elementary initiatives; Bus Mgr reported on revised FY12 budget and 2012 elections; and CE Dir reported on upcoming CE events and program updates.
Board heard reports from bd members regarding MAWSECO, Wright Technical Ctr, Community Educ Advisory Council, Curriculum Advisory Council, Schools for Equity in Educ., Delano Area Sports Arena, Safe Schools, Staff Dev., and City/School Task Group.

The meeting adjourned at 9:10 p.m. The preceding is a summary of the unofficial minutes.
