The City of Montrose will test its voting equipment on Wednesday, August 8, 2012 at 9:00 a.m. The testing will be conducted at the Montrose Community Center, 200 Center Avenue S., Montrose. The public is welcome to attend.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on Wednesday August 15, 2012 at the MONTROSE Planning and Zoning Commission meeting which begins at 7:00 p.m., a public hearing will be held at the MONTROSE Community Center to consider amendments to the Montrose Zoning and Subdivision Ordinances for the following items:

CITY OF LORETTONotice of Public Accuracy Test
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a public accuracy test to demonstrate the accuracy of the computer programs and voting systems to be used at the Primary Election on August 14th, will be conducted at the Loretto City Hall, 279 N. Medina St., Suite 260, at 10:00 a.m. on August 7, 2012. This public accuracy test is open to the general public.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Delano City Council will hold a Public Hearing in the Council Chambers at City Hall, 234 2nd Street North, on Wednesday, August 8, 2012, 7:00 p.m. or as soon thereafter as the parties may be heard, to consider a request from Delano Lanes and Entertainment, Inc., located at 429 Babcock Blvd Inc., to conduct public outside dances on every Saturday beginning August 4, 2012, thru and including October 6, 2012, between the hours of 8 p.m. and 1 a.m.
All interested parties or individuals are hereby notified and invited to present their oral or written comments at said Public Hearing.

MINUTESRegular Meeting of the Board of EducationIndependent School District 879, Delano Public Schools
The regular meeting of the Board of Education of Independent School District 879, Delano, Minnesota, was held on Monday, July 23, 2012, at Delano City Hall. The meeting was called to order by the chair at 7:11 PM with the following members in attendance: Johnson, Baker, Seguin, Durick, Brasket, Milano and Black. Absent: None
APPROVAL OF MEETING AGENDA (approved unanimously)
PROGRAM REVIEW – Gail Sinkel, Delano Senior Center Coordinator
Gail Sinkel from the Delano Senior Center gave a program review of the programs and services offered by the Center.
CONSENT AGENDA (approved unanimously)
Board approved the regular meeting minutes of 6-25-12, the current budget status with year to date adjustments, investment transactions, wire transfers, Minnesota Liquid Assets fund, cash report, revenue and expense fund totals, expense reports and disbursements; and donations.
PERSONNEL (approved unanimously)
Board approved resignation of DES Paraprofessional; Recommendations of employment for DHS Spec Ed EBD Teacher,TKC Teacher, and TAC Student; Contract changes and approvals for 7-1-12 through 9-30-12 for TAC Recreation Programs Coordinator.
Board heard the following administrative reports: Mr. Schoen reported on past weeks of transitioning into new position and Operation Tiger Chem;; Bus Mgr reported that the annual audit will take place the first week of October and that School Board candidate filing will be open from July 31 through August 14; and CE Dir reported on upcoming events, and summer and fall program registrations.
Board heard reports from board members regarding MAWSECO, Wright Technical Ctr, Community Educ Advisory Council, Schools for Equity in Educ., and Delano Area Sports Arena.

2. Resolution Establishing Dates for Filing Affidavits of Candidacy

The meeting adjourned at 8:07 p.m. The preceding is a summary of the unofficial minutes.
