Notice is hereby given, that on Tuesday, January 27, 2015 at 9:00 a.m., at the Franklin Town Hall 8735 County Road 16, the Franklin Town Board will hold a Special Meeting to Audit Year 2014 books of the Township and work on the proposed budget for year 2015.

ORDINANCE 0-14-11
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 5, LICENSING AND REGULATION OF ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES AMENDING THE DEFINITION OF RESTAURANT AND LOWER THE BUILDING VALUATION IN THE INTOXICATING LIQUOR LICENSE STANDARDS OF THE DELANO CITY CODE
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DELANO ORDAINS:
Section 1. Chapter 5, Licensing and Regulation of Alcoholic Beverages, Section 502.01, Subd. 21 (Restaurants) is hereby amended to read as follows:
Subd. 21. “Restaurant” is an establishment, other than a hotel, under the control of a single proprietor or manager, where meals are regularly prepared on the premises and served at tables to the general public, and having a seating capacity as the City Council determines is adequate based on the following standards:
A. The restaurants must have a full commercial State licensed kitchen and meals are prepared on site.
B. The restaurant must have a full service dinner menu with meals served at tables.
C. The restaurants shall have minimum interior seating capacity of not less than fifty (50) people.
D. The building shall be compliant with all Building and Fire Codes and meet all health standards of the Minnesota Food Code.
E. If the establishment contains facilities for sporting, entertainment, recreation or cultural activities, the seating capacity may be for a minimum of 30 guests without meeting Provisions A-D above.
Section 2. This ordinance shall be effective immediately upon its passage and publication according to law.

The regular meeting of the Board of Education of Independent School District 879, Delano, Minnesota, was held on Monday, October 27, 2014, at Delano City Hall. The meeting was called to order by the chair at 5:45 p.m. with the following members in attendance: Johnson, Milano, Baker, Larson, Black, Durick and Seguin.

RESOLUTION OF ACCEPTANCE OF GIFTS (approved unanimously)
Board approved retirements/resignations/terminations, recommendations of employment and contract changes which include: Retirements/resignations/terminations include: DHS/DMS Food Service Head Cook, DHS Girls Assistant Softball Coach, DHS Girls Jr. Varsity Softball Coach, DHS 9th Grade Baseball Coach, DHS 9th Grade Softball Coach, DMS 8th Grade Baseball Coach, DHS Girls Head Soccer Coach, CE Tiger Activity Center Supervisor. Recommendations of Employment include; DMS Special Ed. Reeder reported on 2014-15 Tax Levy and Truth in Taxation Hearing; D. Johnson reported on 2014-15 CE Improvement Plan; A. Hutchins and T. Grover reported on DHS, DMS and DES Activities, and student questions and answers to be shared at future school board meetings. Board heard reports from MAWSECO, Wright Technical Center, Schools for Equity in Education, Delano Area Sports Arena (DASA), Safe Schools, Professional Development.

Approved 2014-15 Q-Comp Program and Resolution Relating to the Election of School Board Members and Calling the School District Election, first and only read of policies due to substantive and/or legal reference changes: Policy 514-Bullying Prohibition Policy and Policy 413-Harassment and Violence, Repeal of Policy 531-Harassment and Violence, first read of new Policy 531-The Pledge of Allegiance, Set Date and Time to Canvass Votes.
