Notice of Public Hearing
Official notice is hereby given, that the Loretto City Council will hold a public hearing on the Annual Storm Water Pollution Prevention Program (SWPPP) on Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at Loretto City Hall, 279 N. Medina Street, Council Chambers at 7:30 p.m., or as soon as the matter may be heard. The purpose of the SWPPP Annual Meeting is to discuss the progress of implementing the program.
All persons wishing to be heard shall appear at this time. Written comments are also solicited. Information is available for review at City Hall.

Regular Meeting of the Board of Education
Independent School District 879, Delano Public Schools
The regular meeting of the Board of Education of Independent School District 879, Delano, Minnesota, was held on Monday, February 23, 2015, at Delano City Hall. The meeting was called to order by the chair at 5:45 p.m. with the following members in attendance: Johnson, Milano, Baker, Larson, Black, Durick and Seguin.
APPROVAL OF MEETING AGENDA (approved unanimously)
WORK SESSION
Board reviewed discussion items: German Program Trip, Long Lake Conservation Center Trip, Washington DC/New York Trip, Bond Refunding, Policy Review, 2015-16 School Calendar, Letters Regarding Boys Basketball Coach, and Aquatics Park.
PROGRAM REVIEW
I Love to Read Month Presentation – Darren Schuler, DES Principal
CONSENT AGENDA (approved unanimously)
Board approved the regular meeting minutes of 1-26-15, the current budget status with year-to-date adjustments, investment transactions, wire transfers, Minnesota Liquid Assets fund, cash report, revenue and expense fund totals, expense reports and disbursements.
RESOLUTION OF ACCEPTANCE OF GIFTS (approved unanimously)
Board approved retirements/resignations/terminations, recommendations of employment and contract changes which include: Retirements/resignations/terminations include: Activities Administrative Assistant, DHS Assistant Football Coach, DHS Assistant Softball Coach, (2) CE Student Gymnastics Coach, CE Gymnastics Coach. Recommendations of Employment include: DMS Long-Term Substitute 6th Grade Teacher, DHS Custodian, DES Long-Term Substitute Paraprofessional, DHS Softball C-Team Coach, DHS Jr. Varsity Softball Coach, DMS 8th Grade Softball Coach, DHS Assistant Softball Coach, DHS Head Softball Coach, CE Tiger Kids Club Substitute Student Aide. Contract changes/approvals which include: DES Food Service, CE Custodian, DHS Custodian. Leaves of Absence: DES 4th Grade Teacher, DES Speech Clinician, DMS Special Education Paraprofessional.
PUBLIC COMMENT: Bruce Beltrand, Delano, MN, commented on accident at Delano Area Sports Arena.
ADMINISTRATIVE AND BOARD REPORTS
Board heard the following administrative reports: Superintendent Schoen reported on feasibility study, School Board Recognition Week. R. Klinkner was absent. S. Heil reported on parent-teacher conferences, HS activities, 2015 National Merit Scholar, and SciTech. D. Schuler reported on I Love to Read Month, FAST testing, Kindergarten Round-Up, Tiger Fun Fair, Cinderella Play, “Parents are Forever” class. M. Reeder reported on Food Service Administrative Review and FY16 budget. D. Johnson was absent; M. Schoen reported on Tiger Kids Club summer registration, WEE Tiger Preschool Open House, MN Reading Corp assessment results, Destination ImagiNation, and winter activities. Abbey Hutchins and Thomas Grover reported on DES, DMS and DHS activities and responses to students’ questions. Board heard reports from: MAWSECO, Wright Technical Center, Curriculum Advisory Council, Schools for Equity in Education (SEE), Delano Area Sports Arena (DASA), Safe Schools, Professional Development and City/School.
OLD BUSINESS: None
NEW BUSINESS (approved unanimously)
Board approved first read of Policies 623 and 701.2 due to substantive and/or legal reference changes, Resolution for Sale of General Obligation School Building Refunding Bonds, 5th Grade Long Lake Conservation Center Extended Field Trip, 8th Grade Washington DC/New York Extended Field Trip, German Extended Field Trip.
