NOTICE OF HEARING ONORDINANCE FOR STORM SEWER IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT
Notice is hereby given that the City Council of the City of Independence, Minnesota, will meet in the Council chambers in City Hall, 1920 County Road 90, in the City at 7:30 p.m. on
Tuesday, September 22, 2015
to consider adoption of an ordinance to establish a storm sewer improvement tax district (the “District”) under Minnesota Statutes, Sections 444.16 – 444.21 (the “Act”), within which the City may acquire, construct, reconstruct, extend, maintain and otherwise improve storm sewer systems and related facilities within the District in accordance with the Act and levy a tax on all taxable property within the District to finance such activities. The District shall encompass the property to be platted in Hennepin County, Minnesota, as Serenity Hills, currently legally described as follows:
