The Planning Commission will hold a public hearing in the Council Chambers at 1920 County Road 90 on Monday, October 12, 2015 at 7:30 p.m. to review the following requests:
1. Bryan and Kyle Johnson (Applicant) and Marvin Johnson (Owner) request that the City consider the following actions for the property located at 6325 County Road 6, Independence, MN (PID No. 3511824230001):
a. A text amendment to the City’s zoning ordinance to permit “Event Centers” as a conditional use in the A-Agriculture zoning district.
b. A conditional use permit to allow an “event center” on the subject property. The center will host weddings and similar events within the existing agriculture accessory structure on the property from May through October.
2. Donna Hendley (Applicant/Owner) requests that the City consider the following actions for the property located at 5850 County Road 11, Independence, MN (PID No. 0211824430001):
a. Rezoning from AG-Agriculture to RR-Rural Residential, Preliminary Plat and Final Plat to permit a seven (7) lot subdivision.
3. Proposed text amendments to the City of Independence Ordinances as follows:
a. Chapter 5, Sections 510 and 530;
1. Establishment of a Zoning Permit for Fences and restriction on height and types of permitted fences.
2. Addition of new setback definition and provision relating to corner lots for accessory structures.
3. Consideration to amend Cluster Development provisions to require internal road access for all lots within the proposed development.
The items highlighted above may have a direct or indirect effect on your property. All persons wishing to be heard with reference to these applications will be given the opportunity at this meeting. CONSIDER A CODE AMENDMENT TO ALLOW MOBILE FOOD TRUCKS IN THE CITY OF DELANO
Notice is hereby given that the Delano Planning Commission will hold a public hearing at 7:00 p.m. or as soon thereafter on Monday, October 12, 2015 at the Delano City Hall, located at 234 2nd Street North, for the purpose of considering a code amendment to Section 408.01 Peddlers, Transient Merchants and Solicitors Subd. 2 Definitions. Chapter 4 Public Protection and General Licensing. And Subd. 7 Restrictions of Section 408.01 Peddlers, Transient Merchants and Solicitors of Chapter 4 Public Protection and General Licensing. And Section 51.01 Title / Application / Rules / Definitions Subd. B Rules and Definitions, relating to mobile food unit (food truck) regulations to allow mobile food trucks to operate in the City of Delano, Minnesota.
Notice is further given that any written or oral comments from citizens regarding the proposed applications will be heard at the public hearing. All interested persons are invited to attend the meeting and will be afforded the opportunity to speak on the applications during the public hearing.
