Notice is hereby given that the City Council of the City of Independence has cancelled the regularly scheduled December 22 meeting due to scheduling conflicts.
Tuesday, December 8, the council will plan to meet as scheduled at 7:30 p.m. This follows the Truth in Taxation Meeting at 6:45 p.m.

CITY OF LORETTONOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
Official notice is hereby given that the Loretto City Council will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, December 8, 2015, at the Loretto City Hall, 279 Medina Street North, Council Chambers, at 7:00 PM, or as soon as the matter may be heard, to consider the application submitted by Montague’s Jamaican Grill Co. (115 Railway Street West) for an Intoxicating Liquor License and Sunday Liquor License.
Persons wishing to comment should appear at the hearing or address their written comments to the City of Loretto. Materials related to this matter are available for review at City Hall.

CITY OF LORETTONOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Loretto will hold a Truth in Taxation public hearing to present the proposed levy and operating budget regarding the amount of property taxes it is proposing to collect to pay for the costs of services the City will provide in 2016. The proposed levy for the General Fund is $354,580, a five percent increase over the 2015 levy amount. There has been no increase in the property tax levy since 2011. The Council will also discuss amending the fee schedule for 2016 considering an increase in the Storm Water Base Monthly Service Rate; an increase in the Building Permit Fee for Water Heater Replacement from $15 to $50; and a decrease in the Building Permit Fixed State Surcharge Fee from $5 to $1. The public hearing will be held during the regular scheduled Council Meeting on Tuesday, December 8, 2015, 7:00 p.m. or as soon as the matter may be heard, in the Council Chambers at 279 N. Medina Street, Loretto, MN 55357. All persons are welcome to attend this public hearing to express their opinions on the budget, the proposed amount of the property tax levy, and the proposed amendments to the Fee Schedule. Written and oral comments will be accepted.

1. CALL TO ORDER: The November 11, 2015, special school board meeting was called to order by Chair Amy Johnson at 6:00 p.m. in the Delano Public Schools District Office Conference Room.
Record of members present or absent: Present: Amy Johnson, Lisa Seguin, Sarah Baker and Carolyn Milano. Absent: Randy Durick, Mark Larson and Corey Black.
A Johnson moved, C Milano seconded to approve the agenda.
Motion passed
2. Resolution Canvassing Returns of Votes of School District Special Election: Business Manager, Mary Reeder, read the Resolution Canvassing Returns of Votes of School District Special Election; both questions received the approval of at least a majority of votes and were declared to have carried. L Seguin moved, S Baker seconded to approve the resolution as it was presented.

3. ADJOURNMENT: A Johnson moved, S Baker seconded to adjourn the meeting at 6:08 p.m.
