NOTICEImportant Information Regarding Assessment and Classification of Property. This May Affect your 2016 Property Taxes.
Notice is herby given that the Board of Appeal and Equalization for the City of Darwin shall meet on April 28, 2015, 7:00 pm - 7:30 pm, at Darwin City Hall. The purpose of this meeting is to determine whether taxable property in the jurisdiction has been properly valued and classified by the assessor, and to determine whether corrections need to be made.
If you believe the value or classification of your property is incorrect, please contact your assessor’s office to discuss your concerns, if you are still not satisfied with the valuation or classification after discussing it with your assessor, you may appear before the local board of appeal and equalization. The board shall review the valuation, classification, or both if necessary, and shall correct it as needed. Generally, an appearance before your local board of appeal and equalization is required by law before an appeal can be taken to the county board of appeal and equalization.

COUNTY OF MEEKERTOWNSHIP OF COLLINWOOD
Notice is hereby given, that the Local Board of Appeal and Equalization of the Township of Collinwood in Meeker County, Minnesota, will meet at the Town Hall, 21904 746th Avenue, Dassel, Minnesota at 7:00-7:30 P.M. on Wednesday, the 22nd day of April, 2015. The purpose of this meeting is to determine whether taxable property in the jurisdiction has been properly valued and classified by the assessor, and to determine whether corrections need to be made.

Public Notice2015 Bituminous Seal Coating Project
Notice is hereby given that the City Council of the City of Cokato, Wright County, Minnesota requests bids for the furnishing and application of approximately 11,984 gallons of oil (rate .28), CRS2 of bituminous materials, 428 ton of aggregate and application of 428 ton with coverage for 42,800 sq. yards. (FAII modified to ” top size granite chips/20 lbs. per sq. yard) and rolled a minimum of (3) times. Instructions and forms for submitting bids are available from City Hall at the address below.
Sealed bids will be accepted until 2 p.m., Wednesday, April 29th, 2015, at City Hall, 255 Broadway Ave S, PO Box 1030, Cokato, MN, 55321. The bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at this time. Each bidder will file within the package a bid bond or certified check in the amount of ten percent (10%). No bid may be withdrawn within sixty (60) days after the bids are opened. Bids will be considered and other action taken as necessary at the regular City Council meeting on Monday, May 11, 2015.
The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids and waive any irregularities in the bids, and further reserves the right to award the contract in the best interests of the City.

Stockholm Township is accepting quotes for the 2015 Mowing Season
All quotes must be submitted by mail to: Stockholm Township, Attn: Clerk Selseth, 15234 County Road 30 SW, Cokato, MN 55321 or email to stockholmtwp@gmail.com Quotes must be received by Friday, May 15, 2015. Please include the mowing policy (i.e. frequency, starting date, ending date, trimming frequency, and/or any additional features) with your quote. A Certificate of Insurance must accompany each quote.
This is for mowing and trimming at the Stockholm Community Center, located at 16233 County Road 30 SW, Cokato, MN and the Stockholm Township Cemetery located about mile to the East of the Community Center on the North side of County Road 30.

UNOFFICIAL SCHOOL BOARD MINUTESI.S.D. #466, BOARD OF EDUCATION7:00 PM REGULAR BOARD MEETING, FEBRUARY 23, 2015 DASSEL-COKATO BOARD ROOM
In partnership with our communities, Dassel-Cokato Public Schools will provide all learners opportunities designed to maximize their potential and promote lifelong learning.
Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the Board of Education of Independent School District No. 466 (Dassel-Cokato, Minnesota) was duly held in the Dassel-Cokato Board Room, Cokato, Minnesota, on Monday, February 23, 2015.
McConkey called the meeting to order at 7:00 PM.
The following members were present: Clemen, Aho, Nelson, McConkey, Linder and Bender. The following were absent: none.
The meeting began with the pledge of allegiance.
Motion by Nelson, seconded by Bender, accepting the agenda as printed. Motion carried unanimously.
The January Courtesy and Respect Award was presented to Isaac Pokornowski, son of Alan and Mari Pokornowski.
Motion by Linder, seconded by Clemen, approving payment of bills as presented including payroll, hand payables and contingency totaling $2,406,247.00. Motion carried unanimously. (A complete list of bills is available from the District Office for review.)
Curriculum Advisory Committee (CAC) Report: None

MAWSECO Report: Bender provided a written report.
Community Education Report: None
Business Manager’s Report: Business Manager Palmer reported expenditures are in line with budget through the end of the eighth month of the fiscal year and reviewed the investment report with the board.

Superintendent’s Report – Superintendent Powers briefly reported on winter activities and planning for 15-16.
Motion by Clemen, seconded by Bender, approving all consent items, which included approval of the minutes from the January 22, 2015 Regular Board Meeting and the February 12, 2015 Special Board Meeting. Approval of Wire transfers made on January 23rd for $150,000, January 30th for $560,000, February 11th for $425,000 and February 13th for $775,000. Personnel Items: Employment of Nora Dorsey as a Cokato Elementary Media Center Para effective 2/4/2015, Approval of the Spring Coaches List as presented, Resignation of Wendy Simonson as MS Kitchen Assistant effective 2/15/2015, Resignation of Lynn Norby as part-time evening custodian effective 2/27/2015. Acceptance of Donations From: From Cokato Dairy Queen – $222.50 to CokatoElementary, From Cokato Dairy Queen – $222.50 to Dassel Elementary, From Meeker Cooperative Electric Trust - $750 for scholarship fund, From DC Gymnastics Booster Club - $1,200 for gymnastics spotter, From Patty Polzin – trumpet & method books to the band department, From DC Wrestling Booster Club - $953.32 for extra coach. From Anonymous donor - $2,500 for weight room addition. Motion carried unanimously.
Motion by Linder, seconded by Bender, approving changes to policies #516, 556, and 563. Motion carried unanimously.
Motion by Linder, seconded by Nelson, approving Technology Coordinator as a new position beginning in March of 2015 and approving an additional help desk position in the Technology Services Department for the 2015-16 school year. Motion carried unanimously.
Motion by Linder, seconded by Aho, assigning Chad Ardoff as Technology Coordinator beginning March 2015. Motion passed 5 to 1 with a roll call vote. Voting in favor: Linder, McConkey, Bender, Aho, Nelson
Voting against: Clemen.
Motion by Bender, seconded by Linder, approving a DECA Out of State Trip Request for April of 2015. Motion carried unanimously.
Motion by Clemen, seconded by Nelson, approving the revised 2014-15 Budget. Business Manager Palmer presented the changes which had a minimal net impact on the overall budget. Motion carried unanimously.
The board moved the March regular meeting to March 30 and decided to hold a negotiations strategy session on April 9.
Being no further business, the meeting adjourned at 8:57 PM.
