2016 Infrastructure Improvements Project
Class of Work: Sanitary Sewer, Water Main, Storm Sewer, and Street Improvements
NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS
Sealed Bid Proposals for work indicated above will be received at the City of Delano Offices until 4:00 PM, March 24, 2016, after which time such bids will be publicly opened and read aloud.
The work, in accordance with drawings and technical specifications prepared by Wenck Associates, Inc., 1800 Pioneer Creek Center, P.O. Box 249, Maple Plain, Minnesota 55359, consists of all labor, materials, tools, permits, bonds, machinery, equipment, and services including utility and transportation services necessary for:
Street reconstruction, full depth reclamation, sanitary sewer replacement, watermain replacement, storm sewer replacement, curb and gutter, and sidewalk construction:
• 30,000 ton - Select Granular Borrow
• 22,500 ton - Class 5 Aggregate Base
• 8,500 ton - Wear & Base Course Mix
• 5,200 lf - PVC Sanitary Sewer Pipe
• 9,400 lf - PVC Watermain Pipe
• 3,500 lf - RC Storm Sewer Pipe
• 33,500 sf - Concrete Walk
• 20,000 lf - Concrete Curb & Gutter
• 30,000 cy - Common Excavation (onsite and offsite placement)
• Removals (pavement, curb & gutter, sidewalk, existing pipe, storm and sanitary structures, etc.)
• Streetscape items including trees, tree grates, street lamps
A non-mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held at 10:00 AM, March 17, 2016 at the City of Delano Offices: 234 2nd St. North, Delano, MN 55328.
Eligible Bidders for this project must meet the Minimum Criteria as defined in the Responsible Contractor Requirement in accordance with Minnesota Statutes § 16C.285, subdivision 3, and additional criteria required by the City of Delano.

A contractor responding to this solicitation document shall submit to the city a signed statement under oath by an owner or officer verifying compliance with each of the minimum criteria in Minnesota Statutes, section 16C.285, subdivision 3. The term ‘responsible contractor’ as used in this solicitation document means a contractor as defined in Minnesota Statues, section 16C.285, subdivision 3. Any prime contractor or subcontractor that does not meet the minimum criteria in Minnesota Statutes, section 16C.285, subdivision 3 or fails to verify that it meets those criteria is not a responsible contractor and is not eligible to be awarded the construction contract for the project or to perform work on the project. A false statement under oath verifying compliance with any of the minimum criteria shall render the prime contractor or subcontractor that makes the false statement ineligible to be awarded a construction contract on the project and may result in termination of a contract awarded to a prime contractor or subcontractor that submits a false statement. A prime contractor shall submit to the city upon request copies of the signed verifications of compliance from all subcontractors of any tier pursuant to Minnesota Statues, section 16C.285, subdivision 3, clause 7. Refer to the contract documents for additional requirements associated with the Responsible Contractor Law.
Bid Proposals shall be submitted on forms furnished for that purpose. Bids shall be submitted in sealed envelopes with the following clearly inscribed on the outside: “Bid Proposal for: 2016 Infrastructure Improvements Project, City of Delano.” No bidder shall withdraw his bid, without the consent of the OWNER, for a period of ninety (90) days after the date for the opening thereof. The OWNER, however, reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to wave any minor irregularities, informalities or discrepancies. A work history detailing qualifications and past experience must be provided upon request.

City of IndependenceADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDSMagnesium and/or calcium chloride Application ONE Year Contract
The City of Independence, MN is accepting sealed bids for the application of approximately 60,000 gallons of 30% magnesium and/or 38% calcium chloride for road stabilization.
Sealed bids will be accepted until 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 17, 2016 at Independence City Hall located at 1920 County Road 90, Independence, MN 55359 and will be publicly opened at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, March 18, 2016 at Independence City Hall. They will be considered by the City Council at its regular meeting on April 12, 2016 at 7:30 p.m.
The City of Independence reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any irregularities thereof.
All bids shall be addressed to the Public Works Director, City of Independence, 1920 County Road 90, Independence, MN 55359, sealed and marked “Dust Control MATERIALS.” No faxes will be accepted. A Certificate of Insurance is to be submitted at the time the bid is submitted.

City of IndependenceFebruary 29, 2016ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
Sealed bids will be received by 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 17, 2016 and opened and tabulated by the Public Works Director at 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 18, 2016. They will be considered by the City Council at its regular meeting on April 12, 2016 at 7:30 p.m. for the following:
• 3⁄4” Class 2 Limestone
• 1 1⁄2” Clear Limestone
• 1⁄2” Clear
• 1” Class 5 Limestone
• Winter Washed Sand
• Class 5 Recycled Conbit
• Class 5 gravel
Bids shall state the price per ton at the quarry, price per ton delivered and placed on City roads, and price per ton delivered to the City and stockpiled. Bids will also be accepted for hauling only.
Bid security in the amount of 5% for 6000 tons of Class 2 Limestone must accompany each bid. Bid security will not be required for all other products.
All bids shall be addressed to the Public Works Director, City of Independence, 1920 County Road 90, Independence, MN 55359, sealed and marked “ROAD MATERIALS.” No faxes will be accepted. A Certificate of Insurance is to be submitted at the time the bid is submitted.
The City of Independence reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any information herein.

The Planning Commission will hold a public hearing in the Council Chambers at 1920 County Road 90 on Tuesday, March 15, 2016 at 6:30 p.m. to review the following requests:

City of LorettoNotice of Public Hearing
Official notice is hereby given, that the Loretto City Council will hold a public hearing on the Annual Storm Water Pollution Prevention Program (SWPPP) on Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at Loretto City Hall, 279 N. Medina Street, Council Chambers at 7:30 p.m., or as soon as the matter may be heard. The purpose of the SWPPP Annual Meeting is to discuss the progress of implementing the program.
All persons wishing to be heard shall appear at this time. Written comments are also solicited. Information is available for review at City Hall.
