NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that absentee voting for the State Primary Election of August 9, 2016, and General Election of November 8, 2016, will be held for the electors of the City of Delano, Wright County, Minnesota, and beginning on
Friday, June 24, 2016, through August 8, 2016 for the State Primary Election of August 9, 2016,
and
Friday, September 23, 2016, through Monday, November 7, 2016 for the State General Election of November 8, 2016.
at Delano City Hall, 234 – 2nd Street North, PO Box 108, Delano, MN 55328 during the following hours:
Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Tuesday, 7:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Friday, 8 a.m. to 12:00 noon.
And
Saturday, August 6, 2016, 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. for the State Primary Election
and
Saturday, November 5, 2016, 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. for the State General Election
An application for an absentee ballot may be submitted to Wright County, www.wright.mn.us, or directly to the City of Delano in person, via US Mail, Fax (763-972-6174), or online via the Secretary of States Web site www.sos.state.mn.us
The State Primary Election will be held on Tuesday August 9, 2016 and the State General Election will be held at Delano City Hall, on Tuesday, November 8, 2016, at which the polls will be open from the hour of seven o-clock (7:00 a.m.) to the hour of eight o’clock (8:00 p.m.) for the purpose of voting for the following offices:

Filing for City Office and School District
Begins on August 2, 2016, and closes on August 16, 2016 at 5 p.m. at City Hall located at 234 – 2nd St. N., or for the School Board at Delano School Hall at the district office located 700 Elm Ave. E.
Filing for Federal, State, County, Soil and Water, etc.
Begins May 17, 2016 and ends on May 31, 2016 at pm at the Wright County Auditor’s Office located at 10 – 2nd St. NW, Buffalo MN 55313.
Who can Vote?
• 18 or older
• A U.S. citizen
• A Minnesota resident for at lest 20 days before the election
• Not a convicted felon without you civil rights
• Not under guardianship of the person
• Not legally incompetent
Where can I get a voter registration card application?
• At state, county, or city offices and public libraries or the respective websites. or follow the link on the City of Delano’s website www.delano.mn.us.
• When you apply for, renew or change your Driver License or ID card at your County Office or Delano City Hall.
• In state income tax booklets
• From the registrar’s office or student association at colleges, universities and technical schools.
• At many businesses, stores, and community groups.

What do I need to register on Election Day?
If you miss pre-registering, you can still register on Election Day at your polling place. You will need proof of your identity and the address where you are living on Election Day. Use one of these for proof.
• A current Driver License, learners permit or identification card (or receipt for a new one) with your address
• One of the above with a former address and a utility bill. Note. The utility bill must have your name, current address and be due within 30 days of the election. Utility bills may be for electric, gas, water, solid waste, sewer, telephone, cell phone, and cable TV, banking or credit card. Rent or mortgage payments, Residential lease or rental agreement (must be valid through Election Day), Current student fee statement.
• A US passport or Military ID card and a utility bill.
• A “Notice of Ineffective Registration” card mailed to you from your County Auditor
• Someone who is registered in the precinct where you live to vouch for you at the polling place
• Student photo ID, registration or fee statement with your current address
• Student photo ID with utility bill
• Student photo ID if you are on a student housing list on file at the polling place
• If you’re registered and move within the same precinct, change your address at the polling place by submitting a new voter registration card application.

Independent School District #879 will receive single prime sealed bids for Delano Secondary Electrical Service Upgrade Delano Elementary School Addition and Renovation and Delano Community Education Elevator Addition and Renovation until 2:00 PM local time on May 19, 2016 at the District Office, 700 Elm Avenue East, Delano, Minnesota, 55328, at which time and place all bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. Absolutely no bids will be accepted after 2:00 p.m.
Bidding documents, including the Proposal Form, Drawings and Specifications, will be on file at the Offices of the Architect, Wold Architects and Engineers, 332 Minnesota Street, Suite W2000, Saint Paul, Minnesota 55101. A pre-bid meeting is scheduled on Wednesday May 11, 2016 for Community Education at 3:00 PM; for Delano Elementary at 3:00 PM and Delano Secondary at 4:00 PM. Attendance at this meeting is highly recommended.
This project includes: Delano Elementary School Addition and Renovation: 3,450 SF Cafeteria addition and carpet replacement. Delano Community Education Elevator Addition and Renovation: Four stop elevator/addition, ceiling installation and electrical upgrades. Delano Secondary Electrical Service Upgrade: Setting new transformers and switchgear to prepare for a future addition.
Bidding Documents are available for Download to prospective bidders and subcontractors by contacting the Owner’s Representative, ICS Consulting, Inc., 3890 Pheasant Ridge Drive NE, Suite #180, Blaine, Minnesota 55449, (763) 354-2670. Prospective Bidders and Subcontractors will be given instructions and a password allowing them to download complete sets of the bidding documents. The downloads will be made available April 29, 2016.
Make proposals on the bid forms supplied in the Project Manual. No oral, telegraphic or telephonic proposals or modifications will be considered. Submit with each bid, Minnesota Responsible Contractor Compliance Affidavit, as well as a certified check or acceptable bidder’s bond payable to Independent School District #879 in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish satisfactory Labor and Material Payment Bond, and Performance Bond.
Bids may not be withdrawn within thirty (30) days after the scheduled time of opening bids, without the consent of the Owner. The Owner reserves the right to accept any bid or to reject any or all bids, or parts of such bids, and waive informalities or irregularities in bidding.
The Owner requires Substantial Completion of the project on or before August 19, 2016, October 27, 2016, December 15, 2016 and August 18, 2017.

CITY OF DELANO, MINNESOTANOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARINGON THE PROPOSAL TO ADOPT A STREET RECONSTRUCTION PLAN AND THE INTENT TO ISSUE GENERAL OBLIGATION STREET RECONSTRUCTION BONDS
Notice is hereby given that the City Council of the City of Delano, Minnesota, will meet on May 17, 2016, at 7:00 p.m. at the Delano City Hall, 234 2nd Street North, in Delano, Minnesota, for the purpose of conducting a public hearing on (a) the proposal to adopt a five year street reconstruction plan and (b) the intent to issue not to exceed approximately $6,000,000 general obligation street reconstruction bonds under its street reconstruction plan for street reconstruction improvements described in the street reconstruction plan.
All persons may appear at the May 17, 2016, public hearing and present their views to the Council orally or in writing.
If a petition requesting a vote on the issuance of the general obligation street reconstruction bonds is signed by voters equal to five percent of the votes cast in the last municipal general election and is filed with the City Clerk within 30 days of May 17, 2016, the City may issue the general obligation street reconstruction bonds only after obtaining the approval of a majority of the voters voting on the question of the issuance of the general obligation street reconstruction bonds.
