City of Delano Notice of Public Hearing
Notice is hereby given that the Delano Planning Commission will hold a Public Hearing in the Council Chambers at Delano City Hall, 234 2nd Street North, on Monday, June 13, 2016, at 7:00pm or soon thereafter as the parties may be heard to consider a request from Bonde Bistro, located at 203 Bridge Avenue East and legally described as Lots 1 and 2, Block 1, Rivertown Addition (PID No. 107 089 001010) to the City of Delano, Wright County Minnesota for a Conditional Use Permit per Section 51.23 Subdivision D of the City of Delano’s Land Use and Zoning Code for outdoor dining and drinking.
All interested parties or individuals are hereby notified to present their oral or written comments at said public hearing.

MINUTES Regular Meeting of the Board of Education Independent School District 879, Delano Public Schools
The regular meeting of the Board of Education of Independent School District 879, Delano, Minnesota was held on Monday, May 23, 2016, at Delano City Hall. The meeting was called to order by the chair at 5:46 p.m. with the following members in attendance: Baker, Seguin, Larson, Durick, Black, Milano, Johnson.
APPROVAL OF MEETING AGENDA (approved unanimously)
Board reviewed discussion items: 2016-17 DMS Student Handbook, FY2017-FY2021 budgets, POC Committee update, WTC Long-Term Maintenance Plan, policy updates.

CONSENT AGENDA (approved unanimously)
Board approved the regular meeting minutes of 4-25-16 and the current budget status with year-to-date adjustments, investment transactions, construction bond investment transactions, wire transfers, Minnesota Liquid Assets fund, cash report, revenue and expense fund totals, expense reports and disbursements.
PERSONNEL (approved unanimously)
Board approved retirements/resignations/terminations, recommendations of employment and contract changes which include: Retirements/Resignations/Terminations include: DMS Special Education Teacher, (3) DMS Paraprofessional, TKC Classroom Aide, HR/Payroll Coordinator. Recommendations of Employment include: TKC Student Aide, DMS Language Arts/Reading Interventionist, DES Physical Education Teacher, DMS Special Education Teacher. Contract Changes/Approvals/Position Changes: ESY Special Education Paraprofessional, DMS/DHS ESY Paraprofessional, DMS Social Studies Teacher transfer to DHS Social Studies Teacher. Leaves of Absence: DMS Paraprofessional.
Board heard the following administrative reports: Superintendent Schoen reported on building project user group and design meetings, traffic study for new intermediate building, summer building projects and bid approval, student school board representative interviews. Mr. Voight reported on 5th grade LLCC student trip, MCA tests, 7th/8th grade math curriculum, year-end field trips, curriculum writing, staffing. Dr. Heil reported on graduation, student testing, finals, building project user group meetings, spring sports, Teacher Appreciation Week. Mr. Schuler reported on field trips, track and field days, long-term substitutes, MCA and FAST testing, staffing. M. Reeder reported on FY15 and FY17 budgets, 10 year long-term maintenance plan. D. Johnson reported on summer programs, Arts Council grant and programs, ECFE Vehicle Fair, WEE Tiger Preschool, Pathway II grant money, Early Childhood Screening, gymnastics program, aquatic staff training, 5th/6th grade football program, TAC offerings, Destination Imagination. Board heard reports from: MAWSECO, Wright Technical Center, Delano Area Sports Arena (DASA), Professional Development, Activities Advisory Council.
NEW BUSINESS (approved unanimously)
Approved 2016-2017 DES and DHS Student Handbook, 2016-2017 Meal Prices, Food Service Prime Vendor, bids for Referendum 2015 projects, surplus items, first and only read of Policies 101,406,427,508,515,525,530,708, and Designated Official Authority to Authorize user access to MDE secure websites.
