Independent School District #879 will receive single prime sealed bids for New Delano Intermediate School until 2 p.m. local time on October 18, 2016 at the District Office, 700 Elm Avenue East, Delano, Minnesota, 55328, at which time and place all bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. Absolutely no bids will be accepted after 2:00 p.m.
A pre-bid meeting is scheduled for October 6, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at the District Office. Attendance at this meeting is highly recommended.
This project includes: A new approximately 75,000 SF Elementary School.
Bidding Documents are available for Download to prospective bidders and subcontractors by contacting the Owner’s Representative, ICS Consulting, Inc., 3890 Pheasant Ridge Drive NE, Suite #180, Blaine, Minnesota 55449, (763) 354- 2670. Prospective Bidders and Subcontractors will be given instructions to download complete sets of the bidding documents. The downloads will be made available September 28, 2016.
Make proposals on the bid forms supplied in the Project Manual. No oral, telegraphic or telephonic proposals or modifications will be considered. Submit with each bid, Minnesota Responsible Contractor Compliance Affidavit, as well as a certified check or acceptable bidder’s bond payable to Independent School District #879 in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish satisfactory Labor and Material Payment Bond, and Performance Bond.
Bids may not be withdrawn within sixty (60) days after the scheduled time of opening bids, without the consent of the Owner. The Owner reserves the right to accept any bid or to reject any or all bids, or parts of such bids, and waive informalities or irregularities in bidding.
The Owner requires Substantial Completion of the project on or before May 18, 2018.

School Board Special Meeting Minutes District Office Conference Room
Tuesday, October 4
5:45 p.m.
1. Call to Order at 5:45 p.m.
Record of members present: A. Johnson, C. Black, R. Durick, M. Larson, S. Baker, L. Seguin. Members absent: C. Milano
2. Acceptance of Campus Improvement Bid
M. Schoen reported that after Board discussion regarding all submitted bids, Delano Public Schools recommend awarding the bid to Peterson Companies at $4.09 million. V. Dierks expressed that discussions with Peterson Companies regarding the specifics of the project can begin once the bid is accepted. M. Schoen expressed that the building project will be within budget parameters with the acceptance of this bid.
Upon motion by C. Black, seconded by L. Seguin, the Board of Education approved the Acceptance of the Campus Improvement Bid awarding the project to Peterson Companies. Motion passed.
3. Adjourn
Upon motion by L. Seguin, seconded by R. Durick, the meeting was adjourned at 6:02 p.m.

The Planning Commission will hold a public hearing in the Council Chambers at 1920 County Road 90 on Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at 6:30 p.m. to review the following requests:
1. George and Linda Becker (Applicants/Owners) request that the City consider the following actions for the property located at 4675 Lake Sarah Road, Independence, MN (PID No. 03-118-24-22-0002):
a. A variance to allow the subdivision of property in the AG-Agriculture zoning district.

Delano Schools Watermain Relocation

Sealed Bid Proposals for work indicated above will be received at the City of Delano Offices located at 234 2nd Street North, until 1:00 PM, October 25, 2016, after which time such bids will be publicly opened and read aloud.
The work, in accordance with drawings and technical specifications prepared by Wenck Associates, Inc., 1800 Pioneer Creek Center, P.O. Box 249, Maple Plain, Minnesota 55359, consists of all labor, materials, tools, permits, bonds, machinery, equipment, and services including utility and transportation services necessary for:
The watermain relocation and improvements work generally includes:

0.5 acre Tree clearing
50 sy Bituminous trail replacement
50 sy Street section replacement
Eligible Bidders for this project must meet the Minimum Criteria as defined in the Responsible Contractor Requirement in accordance with Minnesota Statutes § 16C.285, subdivision 3, and additional criteria required by the City of Delano.
A contractor responding to this solicitation document shall submit to the city a signed statement under oath by an owner or officer verifying compliance with each of the minimum criteria in Minnesota Statutes, section 16C.285, subdivision 3. The term ‘responsible contractor’ as used in this solicitation document means a contractor as defined in Minnesota Statues, section 16C.285, subdivision 3. Any prime contractor or subcontractor that does not meet the minimum criteria in Minnesota Statutes, section 16C.285, subdivision 3 or fails to verify that it meets those criteria is not a responsible contractor and is not eligible to be awarded the construction contract for the project or to perform work on the project. A false statement under oath verifying compliance with any of the minimum criteria shall render the prime contractor or subcontractor that makes the false statement ineligible to be awarded a construction contract on the project and may result in termination of a contract awarded to a prime contractor or subcontractor that submits a false statement. A prime contractor shall submit to the city upon request copies of the signed verifications of compliance from all subcontractors of any tier pursuant to Minnesota Statues, section 16C.285, subdivision 3, clause 7. Refer to the contract documents for additional requirements associated with the Responsible Contractor Law.
Bid Proposals shall be submitted on forms furnished for that purpose. Bids shall be submitted in sealed envelopes with the following clearly inscribed on the outside: “Bid Proposal for: 2016 Infrastructure Improvements Project, City of Delano.” No bidder shall withdraw his bid, without the consent of the OWNER, for a period of ninety (90) days after the date for the opening thereof. The OWNER, however, reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to wave any minor irregularities, informalities or discrepancies. A work history detailing qualifications and past experience must be provided upon request.
