The regular meeting of the Board of Education of Independent School District 879, Delano, Minnesota, was held on Monday, September 26, 2016, at Delano City Hall. The meeting was called to order by the chair at 5:48 p.m. with the following members in attendance: Baker, Seguin, Larson, Johnson, Black, Milano Absent: Durick.
APPROVAL OF MEETING AGENDA (approved unanimously)
Board reviewed discussion items: German Extended Field Trip, POC Committee Update, Quit Claim Deeds, 2016 Pay 2017 Proposed Tax Levy, Policy Review.

CONSENT AGENDA (approved unanimously)
Board approved the regular meeting minutes of 8-22-16 and the current budget status with year-to-date adjustments, investment transactions, construction bond investment transactions, wire transfers, Minnesota Liquid Assets fund, cash report, revenue and expense fund totals, expense reports and disbursements.
PERSONNEL (approved unanimously)
Board approved retirements/resignations/terminations, recommendations of employment and contract changes which include: Retirements/Resignations/Terminations include: DES Recess Paraprofessional, HS Custodian, TKC Aide, HS/MS Cook. Recommendations of Employment include: (3) CE Tennis Camp Assistant, C-Team Boys Soccer Coach, (6) TAC Monitor, (2) DES Recess Paraprofessional, Tiger Gymnastics Assistant Coach, (3) TKC Student Aide, (3) DES Special Education Paraprofessional, HS/MS Cook, Head Diving Coach, CE Aquatics Instructor, JV Cheer Coach, JV Girls Hockey Coach, 7th Grade Student Volleyball Coach, MS Girls Soccer Coach, DHS Night Custodian, 8th Grade Student Volleyball Coach, DES PE/DAPE Teacher, MS Boys Soccer Coach. Contract Changes/Approvals/Position Changes: Wee Tiger Preschool Teacher, ECFE Classroom Assistant, Early Childhood Screening/RN, TKC Teacher, CE Preschool Teaching Assistant. Leaves of Absence: DES ADSIS Paraprofessional, DHS Music Teacher, DES Paraprofessional.

Board heard the following administrative reports: Superintendent Schoen reported on building projects, campus improvement project bids, Strategic Plan 4th Year plans. B. Voight reported on WE Day, MS Site Base Team retreat, MS School Improvement Plan, Homecoming, New Intermediate School Master Scheduling Task Force. D. Schuler reported on Orientation Day surveys and Homecoming. S. Heil reported on Chinese visit, National Merit Semifinalists and Commended Students, Honor Roll Awards Night, PSAT. M. Reeder reported on audit and budget. D. Johnson reported on CE building projects, ECFE Open House, MN Reading Corps benchmarking, Early Childhood Screening, TKC, DI Open House, gymnastics program, special olympics bowling program, swimming lessons, Opening Doors activities. Board heard reports from: MAWSECO, Wright Technical Center and Schools for Equity in Education.
OLD BUSINESS (approved unanimously)
Approved second read of policies 509, 532, 721 and 805 due to substantive and/or legal reference changes.
NEW BUSINESS (approved unanimously)
Approval of Wright County Community Action Head Start MOA, approved Quit Claim Deeds, approved first read of policies 414, 506, 520, 533 and 618 due to substantive and/or legal reference changes, approved 2016 Pay 2017 Proposed Property Tax Levy, Set time and date for Truth in Taxation Meeting, approved Quote for Snowplowing for the 2016-17 and 2017-18 school years, approved surplus items.
