Notice is hereby given that the Delano Planning Commission will hold a Public Hearing in the City Council Chambers at Delano City Hall, 234 2nd Street North, on Monday, January 9, 2017, at 7:00 pm or soon after to consider request from Wright Neighborhoods, LLC for a Preliminary and Final Plat request for Wright Neighborhood 4th Addition. All interested parties or individuals are hereby notified and invited to present their oral or written comments at said public hearing.

The regular meeting of the Board of Education of Independent School District 879, Delano, Minnesota, was held on Monday, November 28, 2016, at Delano City Hall. The meeting was called to order by the chair at 5:47 p.m. with the following members in attendance: Baker, Seguin, Larson, Johnson, Black, Durick, Milano arrived at 7:00 p.m.
APPROVAL OF MEETING AGENDA (approved unanimously)
WORK SESSION
Board reviewed discussion items: FY16 and FY17 budget updates, Project Oversight Committee update and Year 4 Technology Workplan.

CONSENT AGENDA (approved unanimously)
Board approved the regular meeting minutes of 10-24-16, special meeting minutes of 11-14-16, and the current budget status with year-to-date adjustments, investment transactions, construction bond investment transactions, wire transfers, Minnesota Liquid Assets fund, cash report, revenue and expense fund totals, expense reports and disbursements.

Board approved retirements/resignations/terminations, recommendations of employment and contract changes which include: Retirements/Resignations/Terminations include: TAC Supervisor, DMS Track Coach, TKC Preschool Teacher. Recommendations of Employment include: TKC Adult Program Aide, (2) 5th/6th Grade Tackle Football Coach, TKC Program Assistant, 9th Grade Boys’ Basketball Coach, Little Spikers Volleyball Lead Instructor, Delano Tigers Read and Run Club Assistant, (2) DES Paraprofessional, 9th Grade Girls’ Basketball Coach, Junior Spikers Volleyball Assistant Youth Coach, Fitness Instructor, Delano Tigers Read and Run Club Coordinator, Tiger Gymnastics Coach. Contract Changes/Approvals/Position Changes: ECSE Teacher. Leaves of Absence: (2) DES 4th Grade Teacher, TKC Teacher, DMS Social Worker, DMS Social Studies Teacher, DMS Paraprofessional.
ADMINISTRATIVE AND BOARD REPORTS
Board heard the following administrative reports: Superintendent Schoen reported on 4 Year Technology Workplan and building projects. B. Voight reported on DMS Site Improvement Plan updates. D. Schuler reported on November Professional Development Day and classroom community service projects. S. Heil reported n PSAT test, 2017-18 Registration and winter activities. M. Reeder reported on FY16 budget update. D. Johnson reported on Old Fashioned Christmas, community education programs and activities. Student Representatives D. Stevens and A. Moe reported on DES, DMS and DHS activities. Board heard reports from: MAWSECO, Wright Technical Center, District Advisory Council and Professional Development.
OLD BUSINESS (approved unanimously)
Approved second read of policies 102, 206, 401, 413 and 616 due to substantive and/or legal reference changes.
NEW BUSINESS (approved unanimously)
Approved and accepted bid for Secondary Building Redesign and alternates, approved first and only read of Policy 514 due to non-substantive and/or legal reference changes, approved first read of Policy 720 due to substantive and/or legal reference changes, approved Vending Machine Agreement, approved surplus property, set date for January Organizational Meeting.
The meeting adjourned at 8:01 p.m. The preceding is a summary of the unofficial minutes. Official notice is hereby given that the Loretto City Council will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, January 10, 2017, at the Loretto city offices, 279 Medina Street North, Council Chambers, at 7:00 PM, or as soon as the matter may be heard, to consider AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 420:40 OF THE LORETTO CODE OF ORDINANCES (ZONING) REGULATIONS FOR INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT AND CORRECTING CERTAIN REFERENCES TO THE INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT IN SECTIONS 420:50, 435:15 AND 435:25
