Notice is hereby given that quotations will be received by Delano Public School District #879 for lawn mowing services for the 2017 mowing season. Quotations will be received at the Delano Public Schools Administration Office, 700 Elm Avenue East, Delano Minnesota 55328 until 10:00 a.m., Thursday, March 9, 2017.
Quotation requirements and specifications are available for interested vendors at the Delano Public Schools Administration Office, 700 Elm Avenue East, Delano, Minnesota 55328 or by calling 763-972-3365 ext. 2118.
The Board reserves the right to reject any and all quotes or parts of such quotes, accept quotes it deems to be in its best interest, to waive any informalities or irregularities in quotes submitted and waive minor irregularities or discrepancies in quotation procedure.

Request for Proposal for Group Insurance Coverage
Delano Public Schools ISD #879 (“District”) requests proposals for group insurance coverage for the health plan year beginning October 1, 2017. Sealed proposals will be accepted in paper form until 3:00 pm central time on March 28, 2017, at Delano Public Schools ISD 879, Mary Reeder, Business Manager, 700 Elm Ave E, Delano, MN 55328. Copies of the request for proposal and exhibits may be requested from Mary Reeder at mary.reeder@delanoschools.org and will be sent electronically at no charge. The District reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities. The District reserves the right to select the proposal which it determines to be in the best interest of the District.

FRANKLIN TOWNSHIPADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS2017 DUST CONTROL
Notice is hereby given that sealed bids will be received by Franklin Township Clerk/ Treasurer and Deputy Clerk Treasurer until 4:00 p.m. Friday, March 3, 2017 for the furnishing of all labor and material for the purpose of applying an 18 or 24 foot wide (as directed by township) application of dust control magnesium chloride materials to approximately 60 miles (more or less) of gravel/granite roads in Franklin Township, Wright County, Minnesota.
Contract Documents may be seen at the office of the Township Clerk/8735 County Road 16 SE, Delano, Minnesota 55328. Appointments requested 763-923-4284.
Bids shall be directed to the Township Clerk/Treasurer, 8735 County Road 16 SE, Delano, MN 55328 securely sealed, and endorsed upon the outside wrapper “BID FOR 2017 DUST CONTROL.” Clerk must be in receipt of bid on or before the due date & time set forth in this notice. All bids will be publicly opened and read aloud on Monday, March 6, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. (CST) at the Township Hall, 8735 Wright County Road 16 SE, Delano, Minnesota 55328.
The Township reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive irregularities and informalities therein and to award the contract in the best interest of the Township.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on Thursday, March 9th, 2017 at 4:00 P.M. the Electronic Voting System Public Accuracy Test will be conducted at the Franklin Township Hall, 8735 County Road 16 SE, Delano, MN. This test is to insure the integrity of the Annual Township Election that will be held on Tuesday, March 14, 2017. The public is invited to view this test.

Franklin TownshipNOTICE OF ANNUAL MEETINGANDELECTION OF OFFICERS
Notice is hereby given to the qualified voters of Franklin Township, County of Wright, State of Minnesota, that the Annual Election of Town Officers and Annual Town Meeting will be held on Tuesday, March 14, 2017. In case of inclement weather, the meeting and election may be postponed until March 21, 2017, the 3rd third Thursday of March. The Board of Canvass will follow the election.
The Election Poll hours will be open from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. at which time the voters will elect:

The regular meeting of the Board of Education of Independent School District 879, Delano, Minnesota, was held on Monday, January 23, 2017, at Delano City Hall. The meeting was called to order by the chair at 5:46 p.m. with the following members in attendance: Johnson, Seguin, Larson, Black, Milano, Depa and Briesemeister.

CONSENT AGENDA (approved unanimously)
Board approved the regular meeting minutes of 12-19-16 and special meeting minutes of 1-9-17, and the current budget status with year-to-date adjustments, investment transactions, construction bond investment transactions, wire transfers, Minnesota Liquid Assets fund, cash report, revenue and expense fund totals, expense reports and disbursements.

Board heard the following administrative reports: Superintendent Schoen reported on building projects and strategic plan. B. Voight reported on Tiger Pride assemblies, Winter Activity Day, 2017-18 scheduling, intermediate school public sharing session. D. Schuler reported on professional development training, FAST and NAEP testing, Inclusion Week, Paraprofessional Week, speaker Dr. Mary Sheedy Kurcinka, Tiger Fun Fair. S. Heil reported on new school resource officer, ASVAB and ACT tests, Red Cross Blood Drive, Winterfest Week, HS/MS parking, AP Honor Roll. M. Reeder reported on lawn mowing bids. Student Representatives D. Stevens and A. Moe reported on DES, DMS and DHS activities. Board heard reports from: MAWSECO, Wright Technical Center, Schools for Equity in Education (SEE) and Professional Development.
NEW BUSINESS (approved unanimously)
Approved first read of Policy 809-Health & Safety, awarded temperature controls bid for intermediate school, approved surplus items.
The meeting adjourned at 8:07 p.m. The preceding is a summary of the unofficial minutes.
