Notice is hereby given that the Delano Planning Commission will hold a public hearing at 7:00 p.m. or as soon thereafter on Monday April 10, 2017 at the Delano City Hall, located at 234 2nd Street North, for the purpose of considering a zoning text amendment related to outdoor dining at food and drink service establishments in the City of Delano.
Notice is further given that any written or oral comments from citizens regarding the proposed text amendment will be heard at the public hearing. All interested persons are invited to attend the meeting and will be afforded the opportunity to speak on the applications during the public hearing.

Regular Meeting of the Board of Education
Independent School District 879, Delano Public Schools
March 20, 2017
The regular meeting of the Board of Education of Independent School District 879, Delano, Minnesota, was held on Monday, March 20, 2017, at Delano High School Media Center. The meeting was called to order by the chair at 5:46 p.m. with the following members in attendance: Johnson, Seguin, Larson, Black, Milano, and Depa. Absent: Briesemeister.
APPROVAL OF MEETING AGENDA (approved unanimously)
Board reviewed discussion items: 2018 Spain Extended Field Trip, Project Oversight Committee update, lawn mowing bids, and finance committee meeting.

CONSENT AGENDA (approved unanimously)
Board approved the regular meeting minutes of 2-27-17 and the current budget status with year-to-date adjustments, investment transactions, construction bond investment transactions, wire transfers, Minnesota Liquid Assets fund, cash report, revenue and expense fund totals, expense reports and disbursements.
PERSONNEL (approved unanimously)
Board approved retirements/resignations/terminations, recommendations of employment and contract changes which include: Retirements/Resignations/Terminations include: Assistant Boys’ Tennis Coach, TAC Supervisor, 8th Grade Softball Coach. Recommendations of Employment include: 7th Grade Baseball Coach, DMS 5th Grade Long Term Substitute, TAC Coordinator, Tiger Gymnastics Coach, TAC Monitor, DHS Special Education Long Term Substitute, Tiger Youth Gymnastics Coach, 8th Grade Baseball Coach. Contract Changes/Approvals/Position Changes: Tiger Activity Center Coordinator. Lane Changes: DMS 6th Grade Teacher, DES Kindergarten Teacher, DHS Media Center Specialist, DES/DMS Special Education Teacher, DES/DMS Special Education Teacher, DMS Social Studies Teacher, DMS 5th Grade Teacher, DES 2nd Grade Teacher. Leaves of Absence: DMS 6th Grade Teacher, DES Kindergarten Teacher, DES Administrative Assistant.
Board heard the following administrative reports: Superintendent Schoen reported on Delano community candlelight vigil, DPS plans to increase awareness of diversity and acceptance, Delano United partnership, building projects update. B. Voight reported on intermediate school public meeting, assessing DMS school climate, Butterbraid fundraiser, ADSIS grant. D. Schuler reported on MCA testing, Apex Fun Run, Bus Driver Appreciation Day, Kindergarten Round-up, MN Teacher of the Year. S. Heil reported on 2017 graduation, Mock Car Crash, HS Prom. M. Reeder reported on health insurance bids and bread and milk bids. D. Johnson reported on Early Childhood Screening, TKC Gerten’s fundraiser, TAC Coordinator, activities update. Student Representatives D. Stevens and A. Moe reported on DES, DMS and DHS activities. Board heard reports from: MAWSECO, Wright Technical Center, Activity Advisory Council.
NEW BUSINESS (approved unanimously)
Approved Lawn Mowing Services Proposal from 4.0 Services for 2017, approved surplus items from MS FACS Classroom and TAC/Circuit Rooms Exercise Equipment.
