Terms for the sale of tax-forfeited land in Meeker County:
Public Sales: Basic Sale Price
All parcels are offered at public auction and sold to the highest bidder. Minimum bid acceptable is the basic sale price, which is equal to the appraised value plus any extra charges for special assessments levied after forfeiture as shown on the list of tax forfeited land.
Extra Fees and Costs: In addition to the Basic Sale Price
A 3% surcharge for the state assurance account will be collected at the time of the sale. Extra fees will also be collected at the time of sale: A state deed fee of $25.00, a deed recording fee of $46.00, and a state deed tax of $1.65 when consideration is $500 or less or .33 percent on net consideration.
Special Assessments:
The balance of any special assessments that exceed the amount of the basic sale price may be reassessed by the municipality. (The assessments to be covered by the basic sale price are listed above as “Assessments after forfeiture”.)
Payment Terms:
CASH, PREAPPROVED PERSONAL CHECK OR CERTIFIED FUNDS
Title: Proof of Ownership
The buyer will receive a receipt at the time of the sale. The Department of Revenue will issue a state quit claim deed after full payment is made. A state deed has the characteristics of a patent from the State of Minnesota. However, services of an attorney may be necessary to make the title marketable. In addition, all mineral rights are permanently reserved to the State of Minnesota.
All Sales are final with no refunds or exchanges allowed.
Taxes:
Tax forfeited property sold at a public or private sale on or before December 31st of an assessment year shall be placed on the assessment rolls for that year’s assessment.
Parcels Remaining Unsold:
Any parcels not sold at a public sale may be purchased afterwards by paying the basic sale price, and extra fees and costs. The basic sale price cannot be charged until the parcel is reappraised, republished, and again offered at a public sale.

Notice is hereby given that the City of Cokato requests proposals from waste haulers to enter into an exclusive city-wide service contract for residential and public facility solid waste removal and recycling. Please contact Cokato City Hall for a detailed proposal packet, if interested. Proposals will be accepted until Monday, November 27, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. Following committee review, the City Council will consider proposals at their meeting Monday, December 11, 2017. Notification will be sent out if an in-person presentation is requested by the City Council. The city reserves the right to reject any or all offers received, and to select the proposal that best meets the needs of the city.

CITY CODE AMENDMENT
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on Monday, November 20, 2017 immediately following the City Council Public Hearing at 7:00 p.m. the Dassel City Council will hold a public hearing in the City Hall to amend City Code and adding a new subchapter to CHAPTER 93 of City of Dassel Code of Ordinances relating to Regulation of Small Cell Wireless Telecommunication Facilities within Public Right-of-Way.

CITY OF DASSEL
PUBLIC NOTICE
The following City Code Sections have been amended and adopted by the Dassel City Council on May 15, 2017.
City Code § 110.50DEFINITIONS
3.2 % BEER, OR 3.2% MALT LIQUOR. These terms reference any beer, ale, or other beverage made from malt by fermentation, and containing at least one-half of one percent alcohol by volume but not more than 3.2 percent alcohol by weight.
BEER OR MALT LIQUOR. When not modified by the preface “3.2%”, these terms reference any beer, ale, or other beverage made from malt by fermentation, and containing at least one-half of one percent alcohol by volume.
INTOXICATING LIQUOR. Ethyl alcohol, distilled, spirituous, and vinous beverages containing more than 3.2% of alcohol by weight.
City Code § 110.54 RESTRICTIONS OF OPERATION
No off-sale of intoxicating liquor shall be made before 8:00 a.m. or after 10:00 p.m. of any day. “Off-sale of intoxicating liquor on Sundays shall be in accordance with Minnesota Statutes, sec. 340A.504, subdivision4, as amended.” No off-sale shall be made on New Year’s Day, January 1; Thanksgiving Day; or Christmas Day, December 25; and no off-sale shall be made after 8:00 p.m. on December 24.
