Notice is hereby given that quotations will be received by Delano Public School District #879 for lawn mowing services for the 2018 and 2019 mowing seasons. Quotations will be received at the Delano Public Schools District Office, 700 Elm Avenue East, Delano Minnesota 55328 until 10:00 a.m., Friday, March 16, 2018.
Quotation requirements and specifications are available for interested vendors at the Delano Public Schools District Office, 700 Elm Avenue East, Delano, Minnesota 55328 or by calling 763-972-3365 ext. 2022.
The Board reserves the right to reject any and all quotes or parts of such quotes, accept quotes it deems to be in its best interest, to waive any informalities or irregularities in quotes submitted and waive minor irregularities or discrepancies in quotation procedure.

Official notice is hereby given, that the Loretto City Council will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, March 13, 2018 at the Loretto city offices, 279 Medina Street North, Council Chambers, at 7:00 PM, or as soon as the matter may be heard, for public comment on the 2040 Comprehensive Plan Update for the City of Loretto.

Official notice is hereby given that the Loretto City Council will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, March 13, 2018 at Loretto City Hall, 279 Medina Street North, Council Chambers at 7:00 p.m., or as soon as the matter may be heard, to consider CRJ Properties MN LLC’s application for Planned Unit Development Plan and Preliminary Plat Approval for development of the 1.5-acre property located in the extreme northeast corner of the City (PID 06-118-23 42 0082).

MINUTES
Regular Meeting of the Board of Education
Independent School District 879, Delano Public Schools
The regular meeting of the Board of Education of Independent School District 879, Delano, Minnesota, was held on Monday, Jan. 22, 2018, at Delano City Hall. The meeting was called to order by the chair at 5:45 p.m. with the following members in attendance: Johnson, Seguin, Milano, Black and Briesemeister. Depa arrived at 5:47 p.m. Absent: Larson.
APPROVAL OF MEETING AGENDA (approved unanimously)
The agenda was approved after one item, the Student Board Representative Report, was removed and another item, a Schools for Equity in Education board report, was added.
WORK SESSION
Board reviewed discussion items: Q-Comp MOA, open enrollment resolution, update from the POC Committee, amendment to DASA lease agreement, special education funding resolutions (state and federal), school trust lands resolution, role of student board representatives.
PROGRAM REVIEW
Activities update – Mike Lindquist
CONSENT AGENDA (approved unanimously)
Board approved the regular meeting minutes of 12/18/17 and organizational meeting minutes from 1/8/18. It also approved the current budget status with year-to-date adjustments, investment transactions, construction bond investment transactions, wire transfers, Minnesota Liquid Asset fund, cash report, revenue and expense fund totals, expense reports and disbursements.
RESOLUTION OF ACCEPTANCE OF GIFTS (approved unanimously)
PERSONNEL (approved unanimously)
Board approved retirements/resignations/terminations, recommendations of employment and contract changes, including:
Retirements/Resignations/Terminations: Tiger Activity Center supervisor, DES paraprofessional, TKC classroom aide, girls head soccer coach, DHS custodian. Recommendations of Employment: DHS night custodian, TAC monitor (3), spring musical associate director, spring musical choreographer, assistant track coach, DHS part-time night custodian, Tiger gymnastics youth coach, assistant baseball coach, spring musical set construction, TKC lead. Contract Changes/Approvals/Position Changes: 2017-19 DTA contract, HS/MS cook to intermediate school head cook. Leaves of Absence: DMS paraprofessional, DHS paraprofessional.
ADMINISTRATIVE AND BOARD REPORTS
Board heard the following administrative reports: Superintendent Schoen reported on building projects and the relocation of the district office. B. Voight reported on FAST assessments, Winter Activity Day and preparations for Delano Intermediate School. S. Heil reported on high school registration, plans for the 7-12 schedule, and an increase in vaping infractions. D. Schuler reported on conferences, FAST and other assessments, I Love to Read Month, the Olympics at DES and Paraprofessional Appreciation Week. M. Reeder reported on updates to specifications for lawn mowing proposals. D. Johnson reported on various activities and registration dates. Board heard reports from: MAWSECO, Wright Technical Center, the Professional Development Committee and Schools for Equity in Education.
NEW BUSINESS (approved unanimously)
Board approved special education funding resolutions (state and federal) and an amendment to the DASA lease agreement, and tabled a school trust land resolution.
