NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
ASSESSMENT HEARING ON
MCKINLEY PARKWAY AND UTILITY EXTENSION PROJECT
To Whom It May Concern:
Notice is hereby given that the Delano City Council will hold a public hearing at 7:00 p.m. or as soon thereafter on Tuesday, June 5, 2018 at the Delano City Hall, located at 234 2nd Street North, to consider the proposed assessment role for the improvements at the following location:
Lot 4 Block 1 Highland Ridge 6th Addition.
McKinley Parkway located north of CSAH 30.
SE Quadrant of McKinley Parkway and CSAH 30 intersection.
The improvements include extension of trunk municipal utilities (sanitary sewer and water main), placement of concrete curb and gutter, bituminous trail extension, and turn lane construction. The purpose of the assessment hearing is to allow affected property owners to review and comment on the nature and merits of undertaking the improvement project, and the assessments proposed to be levied against their property. Adoption by the Council of the proposed assessment may be taken at the hearing.
The area proposed to be assessed for such improvement is:

The estimated cost of such improvement is $725,793.00. The total amount of the proposed assessment is $725,793.00. The amount proposed to be assessed to individual properties and a description of the methodology for that assessment will be available at the hearing, and the amount of the proposed assessment for individual properties will be mailed to owners of those particular lots, pieces, or parcels of land prior to the hearing. The proposed assessment is on file for public inspection at the office of the City Clerk. Written or oral objections will be considered at the hearing.
Following the hearing, the Council will decide whether any adjustments in the assessment roll are necessary and will, by resolution, adopt the roll. All interested persons are invited to attend the meeting and will be afforded the opportunity to speak on the applications during the public hearing.
