NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that sealed Bids will be received by the City of Loretto, Minnesota for the Lions Park Shelter in accordance with Bidding Documents dated 18 May 2018, as prepared by Timothy O’Brien & Associates Architects
Project consists of a single story wood framed park shelter with precast concrete plank floors on grade beams supported by helical piers.
TYPE OF BIDS: Single Lump Sum Bids will be received for the Work to include general construction.
BID DATE: Bids must be received by 12:00 Noon local time on Wednesday, June 6th at 279 N. Medina St., Suite 260, PO Box 207, Loretto, MN 55357, to the attention of Jeff Leuer and will be publicly opened and read at said time and place by representatives of the City of Loretto. A quorum of the city council may be present. Faxed Bids or proposals will not be accepted.
BID SECURITY: Each bid proposal shall be accompanied by a bidder’s bond naming the City of Loretto as oblige, a certified check payable to the Clerk of the City of Loretto or a cash deposit equal to at least five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid, which shall be forfeited as liquidated damages to the City in the event that the bid be accepted and the bidder fails to enter promptly into a written contract and furnish the required bonds. Performance Bond and Payment Bond in the amount of 100 percent of the contract amount is required.
Contract will be subject to compliance with applicable Schedule of Prevailing Wages issued by the MN Dept. of Labor & Industry.
RESPONSIBLE CONTRACTOR REQUIREMENTS: The successful bidder must be a “responsible contractor.” The term “responsible contractor” means a contractor as defined in Minnesota Statutes, section 16C.285, subdivision 3. Any prime contractor, subcontractor, or motor carrier that does not meet the minimum criteria or fails to comply with the verification requirements is not a responsible contractor and is not eligible to be awarded a construction contract for the project or to perform work on the project. A prime contractor, subcontractor, or motor carrier that makes a false statement under oath verifying compliance with the minimum criteria will be ineligible to be awarded a construction contract on the project, and the submission of a false statement may result in termination of a contract awarded to a prime contractor, subcontractor, or motor carrier that submits the false statement. A prime contractor shall include in its verification of compliance a list of all of its first-tier subcontractors that it intends to retain for work on the project. Before execution of a construction contract, a prime contractor shall submit a supplemental verification under oath confirming that all subcontractors and motor carriers that the prime contractor intends to use to perform project work have verified to the prime contractor, through a signed statement under oath by an owner or officer, that they meet the minimum criteria for a responsible contractor.

The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any irregularities and informalities and further reserves the right to award the contract to the best interests of the City.
In addition, the City may delay the award of the bid, depending in part on the amount of the bid.

Notice is hereby given that the Delano Planning Commission will hold a public hearing at 7:00 p.m. or as soon thereafter on Monday, June 12, 2018 at the Delano City Hall, located at 234 2nd Street North, for the purpose of considering a request for Site and Building Plan Review and a Conditional use permit / Planned Unit Development to allow two principal buildings on one lot and to allow outdoor storage on a single lot in Delano Minnesota.

Notice is further given that any written or oral comments from citizens regarding the proposed zoning ordinance amendments will be heard at the public hearing. All interested persons are invited to attend the meeting and will be afforded the opportunity to speak on the applications during the public hearing.
