The Planning Commission will hold a public hearing in the Council Chambers at 1920 County Road 90 on Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at 7:30 p.m. to review the following request:
1. PUBLIC HEARING: Nate Pribyl (Applicant/Owner) requests that the City consider the following action for the property located at 5405 Lake Sarah Heights Dr. (PID No. 01-118-24-23-0011) in Independence, MN:
a. A variance for reduced setbacks to allow the reconstruction and enlargement of the existing legal, non-conforming shed located on the subject property.
The item highlighted above may have a direct or indirect effect on your property. All persons wishing to be heard with reference to these applications will be given the opportunity at this meeting. NOTICE OF HEARING ON ORDINANCE FOR STORM SEWER IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT
Notice is hereby given that the City Council of the City of Independence, Minnesota, will meet in the Council chambers in City Hall, 1920 County Road 90, in the City at 6:30 p.m. on
Tuesday, July 10, 2018
to consider adoption of an ordinance to establish a storm sewer improvement tax district (the “District”) under Minnesota Statutes, Sections 444.16 – 444.21 (the “Act”), within which the City may acquire, construct, reconstruct, extend, maintain and otherwise improve storm sewer systems and related facilities within the District in accordance with the Act and levy a tax on all taxable property within the District to finance such activities. The District shall encompass the property to be platted in Hennepin County, Minnesota, as Hamilton Century Farm, currently legally described as follows:
PROPERTY DESCRIPTION:
The North Half of the Southeast Quarter and the Souheast Quarter of the Southeast Quarter in Section 35, Township 118, Range 24, Hennepin County, Minnesota, except that part of said Southeast quarter of the Southeast Quarter lying South of Pointer Creek.
To be platted as Hamilton Century Farm, Hennepin County, Minnesota
Any person wishing to be heard with regard to the proposed ordinance may present comments in writing prior to the meeting or may appear at the meeting in person to be heard.

ORDINANCE 2018-02
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF LORETTO, MINNESOTA, ASSIGNING STREET ADDRESSES FOR CHIPPEWA ESTATES
WHEREAS, on March 13, 2018, the City Council of the City of Loretto approved a Planned Unit Development referred to as “Chippewa Estates” for property legal described as:
Lots 1-4, Block 1, CHIPPEWA ESTATES, Hennepin County, Minnesota
and
WHEREAS, the City Council has the authority to determine street names and house numbers within the City pursuant to Minn. Stat.$412,221, subd.18.
NOW THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LORETTO DOES HEREBY ORDAIN:
Section 1. The houses within the Chippewa Estates subdivision shall be assigned the following addresses:
Block 1, Lot 1: 700 Prairieview Lane
Block 1, Lot 2: 650 Prairieview Lane
Block 1, Lot 3: 600 Prairieview Lane
Block 1, Lot 4: 550 Prairieview Lane
Section 2. This Ordinance shall be effective immediately upon its passage and publication.
Adopted by the Loretto City Council this 12th day of June, 2018.
