NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a special election has been called and will be held in conjunction with the state general election in and for Independent School District No. 466 (Dassel-Cokato), State of Minnesota, on Tuesday, November 6th, 2018, for the purpose of voting on the following questions:

The board of Independent School District No. 466 (Dassel-Cokato) has proposed to increase its general education revenue by $650 per pupil. The proposed referendum revenue authorization would increase each year by the rate of inflation and be applicable for ten years, commencing with taxes payable in 2019, unless otherwise revoked or reduced as provided by law.

The passage of School District Question 1or School District Question 2 will result in an increase in your property taxes.
The passage of School District Question 2 is contingent on the passage of School District Question 1.
The annual dollar increases for typical residential homesteads, commercial-industrial properties, and most other classes of property within the school district are as shown in the tables below.
For agricultural property (both homestead and non-homestead), the taxes for School District Question 1 will be based on the value of the house, garage and surrounding one acre of land only. There will be no referendum taxes paid for School District Question 1 on the value of other agricultural lands and buildings. For seasonal residential recreational property (i.e. cabins), there will be no taxes paid for School District Question 1.
The School Building Bond Agricultural Credit shall be applicable to agricultural property for School District Question 2.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Cokato Planning & Zoning Commission, Wright County, Minnesota will conduct a public hearing on Monday, November 5, 2018 at 5 p.m. or as soon thereafter as possible in the council chambers at Cokato City Hall, 255 Broadway Ave S, Cokato, Minnesota 55321, to consider a joint request from the City of Cokato & Minkkinen Iron for a Conditional Use Permit and Re-zoning to I-Industrial for the old Fire Hall building located at 350 Jenks Ave SW.
