CITY OF DELANONOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
Notice is hereby given that the Delano Planning Commission will hold a public hearing at 7:00 p.m. or as soon thereafter on Monday, September 9, 2019 at the Delano City Hall, located at 234 2nd Street North.
The purpose of the hearing is to consider a variance to allow a structure upon the Spike’s Feed, Seed and Pet Supply site to exceed the maximum 48-foot height requirement imposed in the City’s I-2, General Industrial zoning district. Spike’s Feed, Seed and Pet Supply is located at 511 Railroad Avenue in Delano, Minnesota.
Legal Description: That portion of The Burlington Northern and Santa Fe Railway Company’s (formerly Great Northern Railway Company) Station Ground Property at Delano, Minnesota, situated in the North Half of the Southwest Quarter of Section 12, Township 118 North, Range 25 West of the 5th P.M., Wright County, Minnesota, described as follows, to-wit: Beginning at a point on the West line of the Northeast Quarter of the Southwest Quarter of said Section 12 distant 170.0 feet Northerly, as measured at right angles from said Railway Company’s Main Track centerline, as now located and constructed; said point also being the Southeast corner of Lot 7, Block 2 of East Side Addition to Delano, Minnesota; thence Westerly along the Southerly line of said Block 2 of East Side Addition 290.0 feet; thence Southerly at right angles to said Main Track centerline 110 feet, more or less, to the intersection with a line drawn parallel with and distant 9.0 feet Northerly, as measured at right angles from said Railway Company’s most Northerly House Track centerline, as now located and constructed; thence Easterly along the last described parallel line 550.0 feet; thence Northerly at right angles to said Main Track centerline 118 feet, more or less, to the Northerly line of said Station Ground property, being 170.0 feet Northerly, as measured at right angles from said Main Track centerline; thence Westerly along said Northerly line, and parallel with said Main Track centerline, 260 feet, more or less, to the Point of Beginning.

Notice is further given that any written or oral comments from citizens regarding the proposed zoning ordinance amendments will be heard at the public hearing. All interested persons are invited to attend the meeting and will be afforded the opportunity to speak on the applications during the public hearing.
