NOTICE OF ELECTION
CITY OF INDEPENDENCE
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City General Election will be held in the City of Independence, Minnesota on Tuesday, November 5, 2019. The hours of voting in the polling place will be from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
The following positions will be on the ballot:
• Mayor
• City Council (Vote for 2)
In addition will be the following:
• School District Question-Independent School District No. 277 (Westonka)
• School Board Members-Independent School District No. 277 (Westonka)
• School District Question-Independent School District No. 278 (Orono)
• School Board Members-Independent School District No. 278 (Orono)
The Polling Place for Independence residents is Independence City Hall, 1920 County Road 90, Independence, MN 55359.
Voters who will be absent from the precinct on Election Day or unable to vote in person may vote by absentee ballot. Ballots may be obtained by mail or in person at Independence City Hall during regular business hours. City Hall will also be open Saturday, November 2 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. for absentee voting. In-person absentee voting will end at 5 p.m. on Monday, November 4.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC ACCURACY TEST
CITY OF INDEPENDENCE
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a public test of the voting systems used to tabulate ballots in the municipal General Election will be held on Wednesday, October 23 at 9:00 a.m. at Independence City Hall, 1920 County Road 90, Independence, MN 55359. The public is invited to attend.
The City General Election will be held at City Hall on Tuesday, November 5 from 7:00 a.m.-8:00 p.m. in the City of Independence, Minnesota.

The City of Loretto, Minnesota is requesting proposals for civil legal services from firms experienced in municipal law. The proposals shall be made in accordance with the specifications and must be submitted to the City no later than 4:00 pm CDT, Monday, November 11, 2019.
