ASSESSMENT NOTICECOKATO TOWNSHIP
Notice is hereby given, that the Local Board of Appeal and Equalization of the Township of Cokato of Wright County, MN will meet on Monday, April 6th, 2020 at 7:00 PM at the Cokato Township Hall for the purpose of reviewing and correcting the assessment of said township for the year 2020. All persons considering themselves aggrieved by said assessment or who wish to complain that the property of another is assessed too low are hereby notified to appear at said meeting and show cause of having such assessment corrected.
No complaint that another person is assessed too low will be acted upon unless the person assessed, or his agent, shall have been notified of such complaint.

Important Information Regarding Property Assessments
In Kingston Township; this may affect your 2020 Property Taxes.
The Board of Appeal and Equalization for Kingston Township will meet on April 8, 2020 at 6:00 PM at the Kingston Community Center. The purpose of this meeting is to determine whether property in the jurisdiction has been properly valued and classified by the assessor.
If you believe the value or classification of your property is incorrect, please contact your assessor’s office to discuss your concerns. If you disagree with the valuation or classification after discussing it with your assessor, you may appear before the local board of appeal and equalization. The board will review your assessment and may make corrections as needed. Generally, you must appeal to the local board before appealing to the county board of appeal and equalization.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
ON INTENTION TO ISSUE
GENERAL OBLIGATION STREET RECONSTRUCTION PLAN BONDS
AND PROPOSAL TO ADOPT A STREET
RECONSTRUCTION PLAN THEREFOR
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that the City Council of the City of Cokato, Minnesota will meet on April 13, 2020 at 7:00 p.m. at the City Hall, 255 Broadway Avenue South, Cokato, Minnesota, for the purpose of conducting a public hearing on (a) the intention to issue general obligation street reconstruction plan bonds, in one or more series, in an amount not to exceed $1,985,000 and (b) the proposal to adopt a street reconstruction plan for the reconstruction of certain streets in the City over the next five years. The proceeds of the bonds will be used to finance various street reconstructions within the City pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Section 475.58, Subdivision 3b.
All persons interested may appear and be heard at the time and place set forth above.
If a petition requesting a vote on the issuance of the bonds is signed by voters equal to 5 percent of the votes cast in the City in the last municipal general election and is filed with the City within 30 days after the public hearing, the bonds may only be issued upon obtaining the approval of the majority of the voters voting on the question of issuing the bonds.
Individuals unable to attend the public hearing can make written comment by writing to Andrew Carlson, City Clerk-Treasurer, P.O. Box 1030, Cokato, Minnesota 55321-1030. Written comments must be received prior to the public hearing.
PLEASE NOTE, due to COVID-19, the public hearing may be conducted via telephone or other electronic means as allowed under Minnesota Statutes, Section 13D.021. City of Cokato Planning Commission
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Cokato Planning and Zoning Commission, Wright County, Minnesota will conduct a public hearing on Monday, April 13, 2020 at 6 p.m. or as soon thereafter as possible in the council chambers at Cokato City Hall, 255 Broadway Ave S, Cokato, Minnesota 55321, to consider the following requests:
• Request of Kenneth Raisanen for a conditional use permit for to allow a zero lot line housing (twinhome) in the R-3 One Family Residential district, a variance to allow minimum lot areas of 5,961 square feet (Lot 1) and 5,248 square feet (Lot 2) from the 6,000 square feet minimum, a variance for the east side yard setback for proposed lot with 10.2 feet rather than the required 15 feet and a variance for the front yard that would be 14 feet rather than 25 feet required. The applicant also requests for the Preliminary and Final Plat Review of Hillmeyer Second Addition. The property address is described as 160th 7th Street SW.
• Request of Travis Furness to request a conditional use permit to allow an Electronic and Appliance Recycling business at 300 Industrial Park Road.
• Request of City of Cokato to amend required Commercial Screening Section 153.067 COMMERCIAL AND INDUSTRIAL SCREENING of the City Code.
• Request of the City of Cokato to amend R-1, R-2, and R-3 Residential Zoning Districts to allow Group Homes as addressed by Minnesota State Statute 462.357
Persons wishing to be heard regarding these requests will have an opportunity to do so at the public hearing, however written questions ahead of the meeting are strongly encouraged due to possible public meeting size constraints due to COVID-19.
