Dust Control for Cokato Township Residents
Dust coating is again available for dust control on gravel roads. The cost will be $1.26/ft. for new application (or full rate). Repeat application is $0.66/ft. Both ends of desired footage must be staked! Send payment with footage desired (indicate whether it is new or repeat application). Payment must be postmarked by May 15th to receive dust coating in 2020. Mail to: Cokato Township, 14987 30th St. SW., Cokato, MN 55321. Call 320-286-2051 with any questions.

Public HearingCity of Cokato Planning Commission
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Cokato Planning and Zoning Commission, Wright County, Minnesota will conduct a public hearing on Monday, May 11, 2020 at 6 p.m. or as soon thereafter as possible in the council chambers at Cokato City Hall, 255 Broadway Ave S, Cokato, Minnesota 55321, to consider the following requests:
• Request of Western Integrated Seed for a conditional use permit in Section 153.035 Industry (I) zoning district to allow accessory residential living quarters on site. The address of the property is 15403 US Highway 12 SW.
• Request of City of Cokato to amend required Commercial Screening Section 153.067 COMMERCIAL AND INDUSTRIAL SCREENING of the City Code.
• Request of the City of Cokato to amend R-1, R-2, and R-3 Residential Zoning Districts to allow Group Homes as addressed by Minnesota State Statute 462.357
The Cokato City Council will be reviewing the item and holding a public hearing on the matters at their meeting at 7:00 p.m. on May 11, 2020 council chambers at Cokato City Hall, 255 Broadway Ave S, Cokato, Minnesota 55321.
Closed to Public – Public Comment Method
Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, the City of Cokato Planning Commission and City Council meetings location will be closed to the public. However, the City has modified its process to ensure that the public is able to monitor the hearing and submit public comment.
Public comment may be submitted to the city council via the following methods:
1) Written comments/questions may be submitted in writing prior to the public hearing by any of the following methods:
• By Email. Submit your comments/questions to bpotter@cokato.mn.us no later than 5:00 pm on Monday, May 11, 2020.
• By Physical Delivery. Deliver your comments/question by delivering them to the Utility Bill Drop Box at City Hall no later than 5:00 pm on Monday, May 11 , 2020.
2) Live Comment During Meeting Via Telephone. Residents desiring to make public comments by telephone during the public hearing must request to be placed on the public hearing agenda. You may do so by calling City Hall 320-286-5505 or emailing bpotter@cokato.mn.us. You must provide your name and telephone number and request to be placed on the agenda no later than 5:00 pm on Monday, May 11, 2020. Each resident will be given a maximum of 3 minutes to make his/her comment.
