2020 Meeker County Mail Ballot Procedures
Voting in these locations will be entirely by mail ballot for both the Primary and General Elections.
Cedar Mills City & Township
Darwin Township
Harvey Township
Cosmos City & Township
Ellsworth Township
Kingston City
Danielson Township
Forest City Township
• Ballots will automatically be mailed to all registered voters in these mail ballot precincts.
• You may verify your registration status on line at www.mnvotes.org
• The ballots will not be forwarded to a temporary address.
• If you are not a registered voter, no ballot will automatically be mailed.
Eligible voters not pre-registered by July 21st at 5 p.m. may request an absentee ballot application by one of the following methods:
• On line at www.mnvotes.org
• By phone: 320-693-5212
• By mail or in person: Meeker County Auditor’s Office, 325 N Sibley Ave., Litchfield MN 55355
All ballots may be returned to the Meeker County Auditor’s Office:
• By mail Prepaid postage return envelope is included when ballots are mailed
• Delivered in person by voter
• Delivered by designated agent Limited to three returned ballots and subject to I.D. verification
• Unfortunately, we are not allowed to accept ballots left in “drop boxes”.
• Ballots hand delivered must be received no later than 8:00 p.m. on Election Day in order to be counted.
• Ballots returned via the United Postal Service must be postmarked on or before August 11th, 2020, and received no later than Thursday August 13, 2020.
Normal business hours for the Meeker County Auditor’s Office are Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Extended hours for mail ballot voting, in-person drop off, voter assist terminal or absentee voting for non-registered voters:
Statewide Primary Election:
Saturday, August 8, 2020 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Monday, August 10, 2020 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Voters with disabilities or other special needs may access a voter assist terminal to mark their ballot. If you wish to vote in person, you may bring your ballot to the Auditor’s Office. Officials are available at this location to assist with questions. The return envelope must be completed as directed and signed by the voter. For the Primary Election, a witness is not required for registered voters.

PUBLIC NOTICE
VARIANCE HEARING
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on Tuesday, August 4, 2020 at 6:00 p.m. the Dassel Planning & Zoning Commission/Board of Adjustment & Appeals will hold a Public Hearing in the City Hall to consider the following Variance Application:
Gustave Weseloh/Owner, 230 Pacific Ave W, Dassel, MN 55325. PID number: 23-0137000, zoned R-2, has made application for a Variance to the rear yard setback requirement of 6’ on: Lots 3 & 4, Block 11, Original Townsite Dassel. The request is to allow 3’ setback for the construction of a deck.
All persons interested are invited to attend said hearing, at which time both oral and written comments may be presented. Written comments may be submitted at any time prior to the meeting by mail: City of Dassel, PO Box 391, Dassel, MN 55325 or by email: terri.boese@dassel.com.
Due to potential continuing COVID-19 restrictions those interested in attending the meeting in person will be asked to follow current guidelines.
