Notice of 2020 Meeker County Mail Ballot Procedures
Voting in these locations will be entirely by mail ballot for the General Election.
Cedar Mills City & Township, Darwin Township, Harvey Township, Cosmos City & Township, Ellsworth Township, Kingston City, Danielson Township, Forest City Township
• Ballots will automatically be mailed to all registered voters in these mail ballot precincts.
• You may verify your registration status on line at www.mnvotes.org
• The ballots will not be forwarded to a temporary address.
• If you are not a registered voter, no ballot will automatically be mailed.

Eligible voters not pre-registered by October 12, 2020, at 5 p.m. will need to request an absentee ballot application by one of the following methods:
• On line at www.mnvotes.org
• By phone: 320-693-5212
• By mail or in person: Meeker County Auditor’s Office, 325 N Sibley Ave., Litchfield MN 55355

All ballots may be returned to the Meeker County Auditor’s Office:
• By mail - Prepaid postage return envelope is included when ballots are mailed
• Delivered in person by voter
• Delivered by designated agent - Limited to three returned ballots and subject to I.D. verification
• Ballots hand delivered must be received no later than 8:00 p.m. on Election Day in order to be counted.
• Ballots returned via the United Postal Service must be postmarked on or before November 3, 2020, and received by your county elections office within seven days of the election.

Normal business hours for the Meeker County Auditor’s Office are Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Extended hours for mail ballot voting, in-person drop off, voter assist terminal or absentee voting for non-registered voters:
Saturday, October 31, 2020
10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Monday, November 2, 2020
8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Mail ballot voters active poll location on November 3, 2020, is at the Auditor’s Office.

Public NoticeCity of Dassel, MNResidential Utility CustomersNotice of Cold Weather Rule
The City of Dassel Ordinance Chapter 51.24 (C) (3) Cold Weather Rule. Pursuant to M.S. § 216B.097, no service of a residential customer shall be discontinued if the disconnection affects the primary heat source for the residential unit when disconnection would occur during the period between October 15 and April 15, the customer has declared inability to pay on forms provided by the city and the customer’s account is current for the billing period immediately prior to October 15 or the customer has entered into a payment schedule and is reasonably current with payments under the schedule.
