NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARINGCOUNTY OF CARVERCHASKA, MINNESOTAAppeal for a Variance
The regularly scheduled Carver County Board of Adjustment meeting to be held on Wednesday, September 2, 2020, and pursuant to Minnesota Statute 13D.021 has been determined that an in-person meeting is not practical or prudent because of a health pandemic (COVID-19) and an emergency has been declared under Chapter 12. The physical meeting location (Carver County Board Room) is closed; therefore, this meeting will be conducted as soon as possible after 7:00 p.m. via conference call due to COVID-19 concerns. All persons having an interest in the matter will be given the opportunity to submit comments relative to said application. Those individuals who wish to provide written public comments related to the meeting can do so at: LandManagement@co.carver.mn.us, or by mail. Written comments received by 4:00 PM Monday, August 24, 2020, will be part of the public record and will be available for review by the Board of Adjustment prior to the meeting. Please include your full name and address for the record. If you would like to join the conference call, please contact Land Management for the phone number and an access code, prior to the September 2, 2020 meeting date.
Due to the health pandemic, attendance at the meeting location is not also feasible for the Board Members: Mark Willems, Doug Weber, Richard Kvitek, Virgil Stender, Robin Bielefeldt, and Gerald Bruner.
The Carver County Board of Adjustment will hold a public hearing to consider the application of Gary & Margaret Muonio for a variance pursuant to Chapter 54 of the County Code.
The application is being made for the following described property (full legal description is on file with the application):
Located in the NW 1/4 of the SE 1/4 of Section 5, Hollywood Twp
Address: 1855 Wagon Av
If approved, this variance would allow Mr. & Mrs. Muonio to construct a new house and garage approximately 745 feet from a registered feedlot. The County Feedlot Management Ordinance requires a setback of 1,000 feet from a feedlot of 30 animal units or more for a new residence.

Lester Prairie City Council Minutes August 12, 2020
Pursuant to public notice of the date change, the Lester Prairie City Council met in regular session on Wednesday, August 12, 2020. Mayor Angvall called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m..
Motion – Foust; Second – Meyer; Carried – Unanimously; To accept and approve the July Minutes as submitted.
Motion – Foust; Second – Meyer; Carried – Unanimously; To accept and approve the July Treasurer’s Report as submitted.
Clerk Pawelk informed the City Council a cable franchise fee in the amount of $ 2,806.00 was received from Mediacom.
Councilman Tritabaugh introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION 34-20 A RESOLUTION GRANTING TEMPORARY PARKING RESTRICTIONS The foregoing motion was duly seconded by Councilman Foust and following discussion thereon, a vote was taken. Mayor Angvall declared Resolution No. 34-20 adopted by a unanimous vote this 12th day of August, 2020.
General consensus of the City Council was that Councilman Meyer should meet with the school liaison/representative to not only explore other options for parking but to also determine if there are other issues that the City Council needs to address or discuss.

Councilman Foust introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION NO 35-20 A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING QUOTES AND AUTHORIZING WORK TO BE DONE ON THE CITY’S WATERTANK The foregoing motion was duly seconded by Councilman Meyer and following discussion thereon, a vote was taken. Mayor Angvall declared resolution No. 34-20 adopted by a unanimous vote this 12th day of August, 2020.
General consensus of the City Council was for Administrator Skrbich and Police Chief Carlson to continue to look into options to address the abandoned and dilapidated property, as well as, looking into condemnation procedures.
General consensus was for Clerk Pawelk to notify McLeod County Environmental Services the City does not have any objections at this time for the issuance of a conditional use permit, requested by Christerfer Schultz, to construct an accessory structure without a primary structure on property in Bergen Township.
Councilman Meyer introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 33-20 A RESOLUTION ENTERING INTO A 2020 CARES GRANT WITH MCLEOD COUNTY The foregoing motion was duly seconded by Councilman Dhoore and following discussion thereon, a vote was taken. Mayor Angvall declared Resolution No. 33-20 adopted by a unanimous vote this 12th day of August, 2020.
General consensus of the City Council was to meet on August 20th at 6:30 p.m. in a workshop setting to work on the 2020 Budget.
