The meeting of the Governing Board of Wright Technical Center, School District 966, was held on Tuesday October 6, 2020 at 1405 3rd Ave. NE, Buffalo, Minnesota 55313.
Members Present: Diers, Mealey, Steffens, Lee, Sixberry, Curtis, McAlpine, Briesemeister.
Others Present: Brian Koslofsky-Executive Director, Shaun Karson-Principal, Dana Watters-Administrative Assistant, Anh Glewwe-Business Manager and Scott Zubrod-Staff Representative.
The meeting was called to order by Member Diers at 6:31 p.m. followed by the Pledge of Allegiance.
Agenda Review
On motion by Member McAlpine, second by Member Mealey, the agenda was approved as presented. Motion carried by unanimous vote.
Consent Agenda
On motion by Member Curtis, second by Member McAlpine, the consent agenda was approved as presented. 5.1 September 1 regular meeting, 5.2 Bills for Payment, 5.3 Approval of teaching contract for ALC Social Studies/Phy. Ed teacher, 5.4 Approval of the employment agreement for part-time custodian, Julie Fasching, 5.5 Approval of the employment agreement for part-time custodian, Hunter Fasching.
Financial Report
Business Manager Glewwe reported on the current finances. On motion by Member Mealey, second by Member Lee the financial report was approved as presented.
Principal Report
Principal Karson reported on the parent/teacher conferences, Principals meeting, current WTC enrollment, testing, Career Fair, program highlights, Hybrid Learning Model, mental health resources, staffing and current WLC enrollment.
Director’s Report
Director Koslofsky discussed the possibility of Ridgewater workforce training to be held at WTC, possible development of an electrical and power course to be added to WTC, construction house move, facilities and finance updates and attended and upcoming meetings.
New Business
• Approval of the first reading of policies, 410 Family & Medical Leave, 413 Harassment & Violence, 414 Mandated Reporting of Child Neglect or Physical or Sexual Abuse, 415 Mandated Reporting of Maltreatment of Vulnerable Adults. On motion by Member McAlpine, second by Member Mealey, to approve the first readings as presented. Motion carried by unanimous vote.
On motion by Member Sixberry, second by Member McAlpine, for adjournment. Motion carried by unanimous vote.
Meeting was adjourned at 7:20.

The following is a summary of Ordinance No. 231, which was duly adopted by the City Council of the City of Mayer on November 9, 2020.
The title of Ordinance 231 is “An ordinance amending Chapter 72 – Snowmobiles, Recreational Vehicles, ATVs of the Municipal Code of Mayer by amending Chapter 72 to add Recreational Vehicles to the definitions and to permit the operation of Class 2 ATVs on public roads and streets within the City limits”.
The City of Mayer has amended sections of Chapter 72 of the City Code to allow for Class 2 ATVs on public roads.
This summary of Ordinance 231 has been published to inform the public of the intent and effect of the Mayer City Code. A copy of the entire text of Ordinance No. 231 is available for inspection during regular business hours at the office of the City Administrator of the City of Mayer at 413 Bluejay Avenue, Mayer, MN 55360.
