The Planning Commission will hold a virtual public hearing in accordance with the Mayor and City Council Declaration dated, April 2, 2020, (access to the public hearing can be made by telephone or computer, a phone number and digital link will be provided on the City of Independence website or by calling the City during regular business hours) on Tuesday August 10, 2021 at 5:00 p.m. to review the following request:
1. PUBLIC HEARING: Richard Wood (Applicant/Owner) is requesting the following actions for the property located at 5233 Lake Sarah Heights Drive (PID No. 01-118-24-24-0023) in the City of Independence, MN:
a. A variance to allow a reduced front yard setback related to the construction of a new home on the subject property.

8,300 SQ YD TURF ESTABLISHMENT
together with numerous related items of work, all in accordance with Plans and Specifications. This project is subject to Prevailing Wage Rates, Truck Rentals, Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Goals, Equal Employment Opportunity Provisions, and Responsible Contractor Certification.
COMPLETION OF WORK: All work under the Contract must be complete by 07/15/2022.

Prospective bidders must be on the plan holders list through QuestCDN for bids to be accepted.
BID SECURITY: A Proposal Bond in the amount of not less than 5 percent of the total amount bid, drawn in favor of City of Howard Lake shall accompany each bid.
OWNER’S RIGHTS RESERVED: The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any irregularities and informalities therein and to award the Contract to other than the lowest bidder if, in their discretion, the interest of the Owner would be best served thereby.
