On the 2nd at 2:37 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office assisted the Litchfield Police Department at a traffic stop on East 1st Street, Litchfield. James Scott Johnson, age 36, of Stewart, was arrested for 3rd Degree Driving While Intoxicated.
On the 2nd at 5:23 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office observed an abandoned vehicle on US Highway 12, Dassel. The deputy made contact with the owner who advised he would be moving on.
On the 2nd at 6:33 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office took a report of a property damage accident on County State Aid Highway 35, Cosmos.
On the 2nd at 7:36 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office took a report of a theft on Parker Avenue West, Dassel.
On the 2nd at 8:04 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office dispatched Eden Valley Rescue and Watkins Ambulance for a medical on Church Street North, Eden Valley. One individual was transported to the Paynesville Hospital.
On the 2nd at 11:24 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office received a report of theft on Parker Avenue West, Dassel that took place on October 20th. Upon arrival the deputy took the information and is doing further investigation.
On the 2nd at 11:55 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office received a 9-1-1 call reporting trespassing in Stearns County. The call was transferred to the Stearns County Sheriff’s Office.
On the 2nd at 1:06 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office received a report of a trespassing complaint near 340th Street and 617th Avenue, Litchfield. The deputy advised the party of their options.
On the 2nd at 2:54 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to a 9-1-1 hang up call on 520th Avenue, Grove City. Upon deputy’s arrival everything was found to be fine.
On the 2nd at 3:38 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office served a Stearns County warrant on County State Aid Highway 3, Litchfield. Upon arrival, Debora Rosemary Schultz, age 48, of Litchfield, was arrested on the warrant.
On the 2nd at 3:52 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of an animal complaint on 215th Street, Litchfield. Upon the deputy’s arrival he found the complaint to be unfounded.
On the 2nd at 4:59 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to an animal complaint of cows loose on MN Highway 24, Litchfield. Upon arrival of the deputy the owner was on scene and the cows were returned to their pen.
On the 2nd at 5:16 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office took a report of graffiti on Willis Street, Dassel.
On the 2nd at 5:48 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to a car / deer accident on County State Aid Highway 2, Watkins. A deer tag was issued.

On the 2nd at 8:00 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office delivered an emergency message on 325th Street, Watkins.
On the 2nd at 8:04 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office took a report of a suicide threat on 3rd Street, Watkins. One person was transported to crisis center.
On the 3rd at 12:37 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office received a report of a car / deer accident in Wright County. The information was transferred to the Wright County Sheriff.
On the 3rd at 6:03 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to a car/deer accident on MN Highway 24, Litchfield. Upon arrival of the deputy minor damage to the vehicle was noted and the deer was put down.
On the 3rd at 6:10 a.m. a Sheriff’s Office deputy came upon an unoccupied vehicle on MN Highway 24, Litchfield. The deputy made sure the vehicle was not a road hazard.
On the 3rd at 6:25 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to and dispatched Litchfield Rescue and Gold Cross Ambulance for a medical on 240th Street, Litchfield. One individual was transported to Meeker Memorial Hospital.
On the 3rd at 6:35 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office dispatched Litchfield Rescue and Gold Cross Ambulance for a medical on 225th Street, Litchfield. One individual was transported to Meeker Memorial Hospital.
On the 3rd at 9:06 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to an alarm on 245th Street, Litchfield. Upon arrival the deputy’s found everything to be fine and the homeowner reset the alarm.
On the 3rd at 9:52 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office received a 9-1-1 call from the Dassel Medical Center, 5th Street North, Dassel. It was found to be a misdial.
On the 3rd at 10:30 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to a complaint of unsafe conditions due to mud on the road on County State Aid Highway 35, Cosmos. Upon arrival the deputy spoke to the owner of property who will clean up the road.
On the 3rd at 11:49 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to a 9-1-1 hang up call from 310th Street, Grove City. Upon arrival of the deputy everything was found to be fine.
On the 3rd at 12:55 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office assisted the MN State Patrol and dispatched Litchfield Rescue and Gold Cross Ambulance to a driving complaint on MN Highway 24, Litchfield. The driving conduct was due to a medical condition and one individual was transported to Meeker Memorial Hospital.
On the 3rd at 2:38 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to a welfare check on 250th Street, Litchfield. Upon the deputy’s arrival everything was found to be fine.
On the 3rd at 4:50 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to an alarm at the Watkins Medical Center, Central Avenue North, Watkins. Upon the deputy’s arrival it was discovered to be a false alarm and the alarm was reset.
On the 3rd at 5:09 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office dispatched Litchfield Fire for a brush fire at the Litchfield Compost, 615th Avenue, Litchfield.
On the 3rd at 5:18 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office received a report of a property damage accident on MN Highway 12, Litchfield. The information was passed on to the MN State Patrol.
On the 3rd at 5:18 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to complaint of unsafe conditions due to mud on County State Aid Highway 28, Litchfield. Upon the deputy’s arrival the owner was cleaning up the road and he was advised of the complaint.

On the 3rd at 5:49 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office dispatched Litchfield Fire to a fire on North Holcombe Avenue, Litchfield.

On the 3rd at 7:58 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office dispatched Gold Cross Ambulance and Litchfield Rescue to a medical at a residence on East Fourth Street, Litchfield. One individual was transported to Meeker Memorial Hospital.

On the 4th at 7:45 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office dispatched Gold Cross Ambulance and Litchfield rescue to a medical on South Swift Ave, Litchfield. One individual was treated on the scene.
On the 4th at 9:45 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office received a report of an animal complaint on 260th Street, Litchfield. The deputy found everything to be ok at the residence.
On the 4th at 10:07 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to and contacted Stearns County to dispatch Kimball Fire to a grain dryer fire on 732nd Avenue, Kimball.
On the 4th at 11:43 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office began an investigation of a possible sex crime offense that occurred in Meeker County.
On the 4th at 1:14 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office received a report of an animal complaint on County State Aid Highway 6, Dassel. It was determined that the complaint was in Wright County.
On the 4th at 1:31 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office received a report of an intoxicated male on Rose Avenue East, Eden Valley. The information was forwarded to Stearns County.
On the 4th at 2:04 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office received a report of a driving complaint on US Highway 12, Dassel. The information was forwarded to the St Patrol.
On the 4th at 2:21 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office took a report of theft by check from a resident on 370th Street, Eden Valley.
On the 4th at 2:31 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office picked up a suspicious item that was left at the Meeker County Social Services Office.
On the 4th at 7:02 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office received a report of a missing dog from a residence on 4th Street North, Watkins. The deputy spoke with the individual and advised the Sheriff’s Office will notify them if anyone reports finding a four-year-old Beagle.
On the 4th at 8:02 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to a property damage accident on Tri County Road and 375th Street, Paynesville. The Deputy issued a deer tag.
On the 4th at 8:53 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to a residence on Axel Avenue East for a smell of gas. Upon the deputies arrival there was no smell of gas detected.
On the 4th at 9:01 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to a mentally ill person on 3rd Street South, Dassel. The deputy mediated the situation.
On the 5th at 6:16 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of horses on the road on County State Aid Highway 18, Dassel. The horses were gone upon the deputy’s arrival.
On the 5th at 7:18 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office received a 9-1-1 hang up from a deactivated cell phone.
On the 5th at 7:34 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office dispatched Litchfield Rescue and Gold Cross Ambulance to a medical on North Holcombe Avenue, Litchfield. One individual was transported to Meeker Memorial Hospital.
On the 5th at 8:15 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office received a request to assist Kimball Police. The deputy was canceled a short time later.
On the 5th at 8:27 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office took a report of theft from a business on US Highway 12, Dassel.
On the 5th at 9:20 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of unsafe conditions on MN Highway 4, Cosmos. The deputy advised the individual in charge of the complaint, to have a flag person at the scene, and one was put in place.
On the 5th at 10:02 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office dispatched Dassel Rescue and Gold Cross Ambulance to a medical on County State Aid Highway 33, Darwin. One individual was transported by private vehicle.
On the 5th at 10:13 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of an alarm at a business on MN Highway 15, Kimball. The deputy found everything to be okay.
On the 5th at 10:50 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office took a report of graffiti at the Dassel Elementary School, on William Avenue East, Dassel.
On the 5th at 12:42 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office received a report of a complaint of mud on MN Highway 7, west of Cosmos. The State Patrol was contacted and dispatched a trooper.
On the 5th at 12:49 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office received a request to assist in unlocking a running vehicle on 560th Avenue, Grove City. A deputy unlocked the vehicle.
On the 5th at 1:40 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to and dispatch Gold Cross Ambulance and Dassel Rescue to a medical on 280th Street, Dassel. One individual was transported to Hutchinson Hospital.
On the 5th at 3:16 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office assisted Cosmos Police with a report of an overhead line that had been caught by a farm tractor in the city of Cosmos. Cosmos Fire Department was also dispatched to assist.
On the 5th at 3:27 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office dispatched Watkins Ambulance to a residence on Church Street, Watkins. One individual was transported to St Cloud Hospital.
On the 5th at 6:48 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office checked on a suspicious vehicle on County State Aid Highway 34 and MN Highway 55. The deputy spoke to individual and all was fine. The driver was helping change a tire in the field.
On the 5th at 9:02 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a property damage accident on US Highway 12, Litchfield. The deputy arrested Kirk Shannon Karg, age 39, of Litchfield, on DWI charges.
On the 5th at 9:27 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of an ATV complaint on MN Highway 22 and County State Aid Highway 3, Litchfield. The deputy spoke to the individual and warned them of the complaint.
On the 5th at 11:51 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of an animal complaint at a residence on 525th Avenue, Cosmos. The Deputy spoke to individual and a report was taken.
On the 6th at 6:02 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office dispatched Gold Cross Ambulance and Dassel Rescue to a residence on Simons Avenue West, Dassel. On individual was transported to Meeker Memorial Hospital.
On the 6th at 6:04 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office dispatched Gold Cross Ambulance to the Emmanuel Nursing Home, 600 South Davis Avenue, Litchfield. One individual was transported to Meeker Memorial Hospital.
On the 6th at 10:38 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office took a report of possible criminal damage to property on 250th Street, Litchfield.
On the 6th at 12:03 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office dispatched Gold Cross Ambulance and Dassel Rescue to a medical on 746th Avenue, Dassel. One individual was transported to the Hutchinson Hospital.

On the 6th at 3:07 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office took a report of a car/deer accident on County State Aid Highway 18, Dassel. There were no injuries reported, a tag was issued for the deer.
On the 6th at 3:20 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office received a 9-1-1 call regarding a domestic situation that was taking place in Gibbon, Minnesota. The information was transferred to Sibley County.
On the 6th at 3:42 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office dispatched Gold Cross Ambulance and Litchfield Rescue to a medical on 300th Street, Litchfield. One individual was transported to Meeker Memorial Hospital.
On the 6th at 4:34 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to a car verses tractor accident on County State Aid Highway 4 and County State Aid Highway 24, Dassel. There were no injuries and a report was taken.
On the 6th at 5:41 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office dispatched Eden Valley Rescue and Watkins Ambulance for a medical to a residence on Maple Street South, Eden Valley. One individual was transported to Paynesville Hospital.
On the 6th at 5:58 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office took a report of an assault on William Avenue East, Dassel. The Sheriff’s Office dispatched Gold Cross Ambulance who transported one individual to Meeker Memorial Hospital. A juvenile was arrested.
On the 6th at 5:58 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of an off-road vehicle driving complaint in the area of MN Highway 22 and County State Aid Highway 3, Litchfield. A deputy checked the area and was unable to locate the 4-wheeler.
On the 6th at 6:27 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office observed suspicious activity south of the intersection of MN Highway 22 and County State Aid Highway 3, Litchfield. A deputy checked a male individual and all was fine.
On the 6th at 7:15 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office observed an abandoned vehicle at the intersection of MN Highway 15 and County State Aid Highway 18, Dassel. A deputy found all to be okay.
On the 6th at 7:45 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office received a deactivated cellular 9-1-1 hang up near Union Grove.
On the 6th at 7:46 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office received a cellular 9-1-1 hang-up. Contact was made with the caller who advised it was a misdial.
On the 6th at 8:22 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office took a report of criminal damage to property at a residence on Lindstrom Avenue West, Grove City.
On the 6th at 8:31 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office assisted an individual with a vehicle unlock at the intersection of MN Highway 15 and County State Aid Highway 18, Dassel.
On the 6th at 8:34 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to a burglar alarm at a local business on 3rd Street North, Watkins. A deputy responded and found it to be a false alarm.
On the 6th at 9:23 the Sheriff’s Office received a report of a civil issue at a residence on Axel Avenue East, Grove City. A deputy advised the individual it was a civil matter.
On the 6th at 10:27 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office received a report of an animal complaint in the area of 250th Street and 628th Avenue, Litchfield. A deputy responded and resolved the complaint.
On the 6th at 11:13 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office observed suspicious activity at a local business on MN Highway 55, Watkins. A deputy checked the area and found all to be okay.
On the 7th at 2:29 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office received a report of a theft of a wallet from a business on US Highway 12, Litchfield. A report was taken.
On the 7th at 3:36 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to and dispatched Dassel Fire, Dassel Rescue and Hutchinson Ambulance to a personal injury accident on County State Aid Highway 18, Darwin. Hutchinson Ambulance transported two individuals to Hutchinson Hospital and a state accident report was filed. DWI charges are pending.
On the 7th at 4:33 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office assisted an individual by issuing a deer possession tag for a deer that had been hit by a vehicle in the area of County State Aid Highway 14, Darwin.
On the 7th at 7:26 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office took a report of a dog complaint at a residence on 746 Avenue, Dassel.
On the 7th at 7:49 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office issued a citation for an unattended fire at a residence on MN Highway 22, Litchfield.
On the 7th at 8:35 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office took a report of a criminal sex crime at a residence on MN Highway 4, Grove City.
On the 7th at 9:57 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of an abandoned vehicle on County State Aid Highway 30, Grove City. The owner of the vehicle was located.
On the 7th at 10:12 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office received a found wallet from an anonymous party.
On the 7th at 10:30 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office took a report of an order for protection violation at a residence on CJ Moe Boulevard, Dassel.
On the 7th at 11:29 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office advised an individual of a civil issue on 660th Avenue, Litchfield. The situation was mediated
On the 7th at 12:11 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office received information of unsafe conditions on MN Highway 7, Hutchinson. The information was transferred to the Minnesota State Patrol.
On the 7th at 12:12 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office dispatched Litchfield Rescue and Gold Cross Ambulance to a business on Sibley Avenue, Litchfield. No transport was needed.
On the 7th at 12:38 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office received a report of a trespassing complaint on 683rd Avenue, Watkins. The information was referred to DNR.
On the 7th at 1:55 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to and dispatched Dassel Fire to a corn dryer fire on 205th Street, Darwin.
On the 7th at 2:31 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office referred an individual to the Minnesota DNR for a deer tag of a deer that was struck by a vehicle on MN Highway 24, Watkins.
On the 7th at 6:22 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of an animal complaint at a residence on MN Highway 22, Litchfield. A deputy responded and contacted the Meeker County Highway Department to dispose of the dead deer.
On the 7th at 6:51 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office assisted an individual regarding a property damage accident that occurred at MN Highway 24 and 330th Street, Litchfield.
On the 7th at 7:04 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office received a cellular 9-1-1 call of an incident that was occurring on Tagus Avenue, Hutchinson. The information and caller were transferred to McLeod County.
On the 7th at 7:30 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to and dispatched Dassel Rescue and Gold Cross Ambulance to a residence on 268th Street, Dassel. One individual was transported to Meeker Memorial Hospital.
On the 7th at 8:23 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office received a 9-1-1 call regarding a fire occurring at a residence on Kandi-Renville Line Road, Renville. The call and information were transferred to Renville County and the Cosmos Fire Department was paged for mutual aid.
On the 7th at 10:37 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office received a report of harassment at a residence on Guy Street, Dassel. A deputy spoke with an individual and there were no further issues.
On the 8th at 12:46 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office issued a deer possession tag for a deer that had been hit by a vehicle at the intersection of MN Highway 7 and 610th Avenue, Hutchinson.
On the 8th at 1:30 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office received a report of a dog complaint near a residence on 746th Avenue, Dassel. A deputy made contact with the dog owner and warned them of the complaint.
On the 8th at 3:35 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of suspicious activity in the Watkins Trailer Park, Watkins. A deputy made contact with 3 individuals and a report was filed.
On the 8th at 7:29 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office received a call of a found cat on MN Highway 15, Dassel. The deputy contacted the Humane Society who contacted the caller.
On the 8th at 8:07 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office took a report of criminal damage to a vehicle on 233rd Street, Dassel.
On the 8th at 10:37 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office received a report of a custody issue complaint on Asta Avenue West, Grove City. Upon arrival of the deputy the children had already been exchanged and the individual had left. It was determined the individual had a warrant out of McLeod County. After investigation by the deputy, Jenny Ann Munoz, age 29, of Litchfield, was found later and arrested on the warrant.
On the 8th at 12:43 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office received a 9-1-1 call from 250th Street and 700th Avenue, Dassel. It was determined that it was a phone issue and everything was fine.
On the 8th at 2:00 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office received a request to unlock a vehicle at Collinwood Lake, Dassel. Before arrival of the deputy the party called back stating he got the vehicle open and the deputy was cancelled.
On the 8th at 2:32 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to and dispatched Gold Cross Ambulance for a medical at the Meeker County Jail. One individual was transported to Meeker Memorial Hospital.
On the 8th at 5:30 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of an unsafe call on County State Aid Highway 4, Dassel. Upon the deputy’s arrival the suspect was unable to be located. The MN Department of Natural Resources will be following up on the call.
On the 8th at 6:49 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to a car/deer accident on County State Aid Highway 9, Darwin. The deputy took information and the driver was able to drive the car from the scene.
On the 8th at 6:57 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to and dispatched Dassel Fire for a possible gas leak on County State Aid Highway 33, Darwin. Upon arrival everything was found to be fine.
