Students graduate from college

Several area students graduated May 11 from Minnesota State University in Mankato. Ben Keskey of Cokato graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor of science degree in life science (biology). Students from Dassel included Amanda Adams, magna cum laude with a bachelor of science degree in alcohol and drug studies; Nathan Clark, with a bachelor of athletic training degree and a bachelor of science degree in exercise science; and Tina Dlugopolski, with a bachelor of science degree in psychology.

Engagement: James Paulson and Emily Manuel

Mr. and Mrs. Michael Manuel of Maple Lake are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Emily Manuel, to James Paulson, son of Ryan Paulson and Shawna Bollin of Dassel.

Emily is a graduate of St. Cloud Technical & Community College. She is a licensed practical nurse for a private children’s group home in Maple Lake, and is currently studying at Lake Superior College to further her career as a registered nurse.

James is employed through Metro Foundations, where he works throughout the Twin Cities area.

A Saturday, June 1, 2013 wedding is planned at the Church of St. Timothy’s in Maple Lake at 2 p.m.
