Local students on dean’s lists

Several local students were recently named to the 2009 fall semester dean’s list at Normandale Community College in Bloomington for earning a grade point average of at least 3.5 and being enrolled in at least nine credits. The students are: from Lester Prairie – Justin Thompson; from Watertown – Samantha Broeckert and Evan Bunn; and from Winsted – Candice Anderson.

Bridget Boehlke, daughter of Eugene and Rita Boehlke of Waverly, was recently named to the 2009 fall semester high honors list at Southwest Minnesota State University.

Local student graduates college

David Rasmusen of Mayer graduated with a bachelor of science degree in accounting from Metropolitan State University Dec. 15.

Birth: Angelina Irene Arandia

Ruben and Sarah Arandia of Glencoe are pleased to announce the birth of their daughter, Angelina Irene Arandia, Saturday, March 6, 2010, at Glencoe Regional Health Services.

Angelina weighed 6 pounds, 10 ounces, and measured 19 1/2 inches long.

Proud grandparents are Ruben and Maria Arandia of Glencoe, and David and Lois Danielson of Winsted.

Baptism: Kylie Marie Jopp

Kylie Marie Jopp, daughter of Grady and Melissa Jopp of Mayer, was baptized Sunday, March 7, 2010, at Zion Lutheran Church in Mayer by Pastor Adam Gless. Kylie wore her mother’s dress, which was also worn by her grandmother.

Sponsors are Ryan Jopp, Tony Scheele, and Kelsey Scheele.

Grandparents are Terry and Marcia Jopp of Winsted, and Scott and Cheryl Scheele of Norwood.
