Helen Rose Fasching obituary 12/8/98


Helen Rose Fasching, age 84 of Winsted, died Tuesday, Dec.8,
1998 at St. Mary’s Care Center in Winsted.
Helen was born in Glencoe on Nov. 27, 1914, the daughter
of Frank and Josephine Dvorak Havlish.
On June 14, 1935, Helen was joined in holy marriage to
Othmar Fasching. God blessed their marriage with four children: Jerome,
Phyllis, Bruce, and Janice. Othmar preceded his wife in death on May 2,
1979.
Helen was a faithful member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church
in Winsted. She also was a member of the St. Anne Society and of Holy Family
Council # 204.
Survivors include her children: Jerome (Shirley) Fasching
of Mayer, Phyllis Ostrom of Columbia Heights, Bruce (Kay) Fasching of Mayer,
and Janice (Martin) Schermann of Winsted.
She is further survived by 16 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren;
a brother, Frank Havlish; and many other relatives and friends.
In addition to her husband Othmar, Helen was preceded in
death by her parents, a son-in-law, Zenon Ostrom; and a sister, Lillian
Zajicek.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Helen was Saturday, Dec.
12 at 10 a.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted with the Rev. Paul
L. Wolf as celebrant. Lavon Kielkucki was the organist for the mass. Interment
followed in the parish cemetery.
Friends called at the church on Saturday morning one hour
prior to the mass. A rosary was also recited at the church Saturday at 9
a.m.
