Marcella A. Bayerl obituary, 11/14/99


Marcella A. Bayerl, age 82 and formerly of Winsted and
Hutchinson, died Sunday, Nov. 14, 1999, at the Crystal Care Center.
Marcella was born Dec. 25, 1916, in Winsted, the daughter
of Anthony and Agnes (Zimmermann) Millerbernd.
She graduated from high school in Renville, Minn. Following
her graduation from Renville teacher’s training, Marcella taught at schools
in rural Renville Co. and at the Winsted public school.
On Sept. 26, 1939, Marcella was joined in holy marriage
to Mark Kritzeck in Winsted. God blessed their marriage with two daughters,
Carol and Suzanne; and a son, James. Following their marriage, Mark and
Marcella farmed in Victor Township, Wright Co. Mark preceded his wife in
death on March 29, 1946.
On Aug. 18, 1956, Marcella Millerbernd Kritzeck was joined
in holy marriage to George Bayerl at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted.
Following her marriage to George, Marcella resided on the Bayerl family
farm in rural Lester Prairie. God blessed their marriage with a son, Michael.
George and Marcella retired from the farm in 1979 and moved to Hutchinson.
George preceded his wife in death on Sept. 22, 1994.
Marcella was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church,
Winsted, and a former member of St. Anastasia Catholic Church, Hutchinson.
She belonged to Holy Family Council #204, the Catholic Aid, and was a longtime
member of the Bear Lake Sunshine Club. Marcella also was a former volunteer
at Burns Manor Nursing Home, Hutchinson.
She is survived by a daughter, Carol (Del) Hogen of Spring
Lake Park; a son, James (Karen) Kritzeck of Mora; grandchildren: Suzanne
(Paul) Melchior, Jenifer Hogen, Mark Kritzeck, Jami Kritzeck and Luke Kritzeck;
great-grandsons, Sam and Theo Melchior; brothers, Marcel (Esther) Millerbernd
of Renville and Arthur (Alice) Millerbernd of Starbuck; as well as brothers-in-law,
sisters-in-law, many other relatives and friends.
In addition to her husbands, Marcella was preceded in death
by her parents; infant twin children; a daughter, Suzanne Kritzeck; and
a son, Michael Bayerl.
A Mass of Christian Burial was Wednesday, Nov. 17, 10:30
a.m., at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted. The Rev. Paul L. Wolf
was the celebrant and Lavon Kielkucki provided special music for the Mass.
Interment followed at Holy Trinity Cemetery.
Friends called at the Chilson Funeral Home, Winsted, on
Tuesday, Nov. 16, from 4 to 8 p.m. A Holy Family Council rosary was recited
at 4:30 p.m., and a parish prayer service followed at 7:30 p.m.
Raymond Bayerl and James Bayerl served as honorary casket
bearers. Suzanne Melchior, Paul Melchior, Jenifer Hogen, Mark Kritzeck,
Jami Kritzeck and Luke Kritzeck were the casket bearers.
The Chilson Funeral Home in Winsted served the family.
