Andrew B. Peacock obituary, 8/4/2000


Andrew B. Peacock, age 91 of Winsted and formerly of Windom,
died Friday, Aug. 4, 2000, at St. Mary’s Care Center.
Andrew was born Aug. 15, 1908, in Glenwood, the son of
George and Jesse (Hahn) Peacock.
On Aug. 22, 1931, Andrew and Mary Kotowski were joined
in holy marriage at St. Francis Catholic Church, Windom. God blessed their
marriage with six children.
Andrew was employed for many years by Kimberly Clark, retiring
in 1970.
He was a former member of the National Guard in Windom.
Andrew lived in Windom until August of 1995, where he was
a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church.
He is survived by his wife Mary of Winsted; sons, Andrew
G. (Lois) Peacock of Minnetonka, and Michael (Cheryl) Peacock of Champlin;
daughters, Janel (Don) Wohlenhaus of Buffalo, and Susan Nelson of Minneapolis;
20 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; a sister, Lucille Nelson of Windom;
and other relatives and friends.
Andrew was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters,
Florence Knutson and Cecil Saxhaug; a son, Ronald Peacock; a daughter, Louetta
Stahl; and two granddaughters.
A memorial service took place Wednesday, Aug. 9, 7:30 p.m.,
at the Peterson Chapel, Buffalo, with the Rev. Charles Froehle as the celebrant.
Marlene Mohwinkel was the organist for the service.
The Peterson Chapel in Buffalo served the family.
